These work great and the ability to reduce the tweeter output by as much as 6db is crucial in building a system where you can hear the sum of the drivers acting as one instead of each individually. The do not add any noise into the system, instead they did add clarity and tone separation making the stereo far more pleasant to listen to. If you have a high end amplifier and speakers, you will likely get a nice result, these will not take cheap speakers or amps and make them sound like expensive high end components. I do note that there is a top review that states there is a ceramic capacitor on this crossover, this is not true. There are resistors that attenuate the tweeter and provide some impedance matching. This is a very common practice and in the case of this crossover, allow for a reduction in how "bright" one driver is over another helping to compensate for instances where the drivers aren't evenly matched. Overall, its a great product.

I just put these in 2 days ago, after looking at them for a little over a year, and oh my gosh what a difference!! These are so great the shut those damn tweeters down so perfectly it sounds like I put whole new speakers in!! The quality of mp3 music (from your favorite app) is so much better, CD's sounded fine before and still great (because nothing is as good of quality as a CD) SERIOUSLY if you have after market components with aluminum dome tweeters and no audiophile crossovers these are a must have, you will be so happy with them and yourban ears will thank you ( if they could talk)

If passive crossovers will help your system sound great, these are the crossovers you need. Well-built, well designed, well engineered. Many, many crossovers look and feel like toys. These crossovers are built like a quality amp, with screw down terminals that are well-labeled. It's important to me to help a fellow audiophile make their crossover selection, and every word of my opine is true. I left this review, even though my DSP made them redundant and I returned them. I almost kept them, just to look at them.

I dinged these crossovers 1 star only because they are so LARGE that they prevent installation anywhere near almost any speakers... plan on installing these closer to the amplifier and running wires to both components... unless you have a really large space that the speakers will be installed in. I would have like to have seen at least a pack of self-tapping screws included in the right size but then these are 'pro audio' so it's not that uncommon to not see any installation materials. the ability to reduce the tweeter output to -0, -3, -6 db is a feature ALL 2-way crossovers should have. Too many others have +0, +3, +6 instead which doesn't let you compensate for tweeter 'scream' without another piece of equipment... for simpler installs this is a needed and welcome feature. I would have loved to have seen some better capicitors but these should be audio quality and the price point is good.

These are ridiculous! I love them.. so loud and clear, must experience them yourselves...

Grab these because I wanted to change my dash coaxial speakers to a set of component mid and tweets. My DSP only had 8 channels now I was running 10. They work okay but decided to use the high pass crossover that came with my audison tweeters and wire them to my rear coaxial door speakers which for receiving a full range signal from my DSP. Felt like the ds18 added a bit of distortion.
