These pens are a godsend if you are an illustrator, or a general fine artist. They flow smoothly and lay out bold dark lines. Well worth the money! Don't pay any attention to the negative reviews on these pens. I have used hundreds of these without any problems. Reviewers who are complaining that these don't hold up, or are too small, obviously do not know how to use these pens. They are to be used delicately and gently, because the tip is very very small. This is size 005, and its about as small as they come. The only size smaller that I have ever found was a 003. These are for more advance artists, and not necessarily for novices.

Great deal and
Great deal and, like every micron pen .005 pen it's sensitive. You can't drag it across a heavily textured paper an not expect it to die a little each time. It's perfect for stippling and maintains itself if you use it gently. Some people treat every pen like a Bic (am I showing my age?). They are not. They are delicate tools. Use them wisely.

For fine pen drawings
For fine pen drawings, these pens are pretty superior. I try keeping my pen capped when not in use but when using, it's hours sometimes and the nib does not dry out and need to be "re-charged" like some other pens. The Micron pens have the most consistent ink homogeneity I've found in the brands I've used. The nib on the 005 cannot support very heavy pressure but is excellent with normal pressure use.
