A Pocket Guide to Public Speaking

This is possibly the worst ebook format you can get. The actual physical book is not your regular sized book and what they have done with this ebook is very unintuitive and lazy. Since page is longer than regular book they cut many of the pages into two. Thus you end up with 2 pages for one page number. When instructor tell you to turn to page “” and third paragraph, it is super confusing on this ebook. Also, usually slow response on kindle app on apple devices are usually tolerable but since this ebook is all cobbled together, sometimes the app responses after your 4-5 clicks and you end up being on the different page. The worst item that I bought on amazon up to this date.

Came just as stated: new. I had to buy this for a communications class and I'm glad I found it cheaper here on Amazon then at my local bookstore on campus. Interesting book with a lot of helpful information about speeches. It is a spiral book but the spiral is a strong thick plastic and I'm sure it will hold up nicely if you have to use it extensively.

This book is handily sized and written and organized, though for an older student like myself much of the material presented is common sense and nothing new or revolutionary ... I got this 'used' but it is barely discernible that it was used at all ... it came on time too ...

I bought the online launchpad so that I could read the book and then I'm done. Instead, you cant read the book, you have to sign up for launchpad solo which charges you, and it has you take tests and if you want to read the book it tells you to go read the book.Just buy the dang book. instead of this horse malarkey.

For the amount of money this cost, it is a cheap copybof a book. The paper is thin, cheap and when I am trying to learn something I don't want a "fun size" textbook --- with spiral binding! All of this makes the book hard to transport without damaging it. Some of the examples the author gave were much too long and made more complicated than needed. I had to order the book for class, though. My professor also recommended "Power Presentations" by Marjorie Brody, which I rated 5 stars; it is written in a clear, concise manner. I recommend it.

Arrived super fast and in perfect condition. I've only read the first few chapters, but it seems like it's packed full of advice and information. My professor is using it as a reference for exams so I'm glad I have it.
