Roads and rivers
Great for gaming , the detail is good and the card is good quality.Being double sided is handy to take up less room.If I had a criticism it would have been to have more road/river sections included rather than the scatter ( boulders, cart etc.)Still very happy with quality and price, hope this helps.

Surprisingly effective.
The cardboard is thick enough that it doesn't warp. Cobblestone road effect is so-so, the river side is very good so will be adding some grass and reed tufts, matting down the river bank edges and using solely as river terrain. Good value, and probably worth getting two to add more flexibility.

Great Item!
I found this a great addition to my table top. I'm finding it harder and harder to make terrain for my D&D campaigns. So battle systems is neat, easy hassle free. It also looks impressive.

Warning: No Instructions
It's difficult to review this product. On one hand, it's great. It looks awesome once put together and the additional scatter adds a lot of character. On the other hand, there are no instructions and the video "guides" provided are awful. Speeding up important bits, ignoring others. Too much focus on production value and not actually guiding the individual through set up.Most of it went together relatively easily but some of it requires cutting, glue. It's thick cardboard but it's still only cardboard. The finished product is great but it could definitely be more sturdy. Especially the rooftops, they are an absolute pain to put together.Overall, it's expensive for what you get but there's not many cheaper alternatives. I can't see it lasting forever either, a few heavy hands at the table is all it will take to cause permanent damage.I'll be buying more sets as it suits my purpose, just make sure you go in with realistic expectations. I doubt it will look like it does on the box once you've built it.

Players loved it
Bought to enhance the gameplay as we were just using flat maps and it really does the trick. Players loved it and this brought the the bbg fight to the next level. It also made them think about tactics and lines of sight for the mechanics of the game. Well made, a bit fiddly to build but the company videos really helped and it's very sturdy. Definitely worth it.

A detailed, attractive kit that's harder to assemble than it should be
This is a detailed kit made of nice quality card that should be pretty robust. It looks good and it's good value for the price. But, to be honest, it's a massive pain in the arse to assemble. Some of the slots are not quite wide enough, meaning they have to be trimmed. Not everything quite lines up (particularly on the roofs), and it's a fiddle. Added to that, there is no instructions with the kit and no downloadable instructions. The only guidance is a video which is sped up just when you need to see what's going on.It's also easy to knock the roofs and upper level off when you're playing. This is because they are designed to be removable for easy play, but to be honest, I'm probably just going to glue them together to make the whole thing more durable and less likely to come apart at unwanted times during play. It's a decent, attractive design that, unfortunately, needs more thought on assembly and more accurate pieces.

Excellent for tabletop siege games.
Perfect for 3rd edition Warhammer Siege battles as the dimensions are basically the same as the old Citadel Mighty Fortress (although you only get four walls, not six). The cardstock is robust and beautifully printed, and the modular layout means that it is easy to transport and can be easily and quickly put together in a number of different configurations.
