The size caught my eye but then.........
The size caught my eye, but the quad-core power and its ability to upgrade to Windows 11 made me keep it!I did the compatibility test and it said that this little PC was capable and ready to upgrade to Win 11. So, that's what I'm running as I write this. Flawless and snappy multimedia operation, you-tube, office, web surfing...no stutter, no dropping frames....just flawless. I can't tell the difference from this 2.4inch PC and my AlienWare Tower Gaming PC doing normal activities. Yes, I said normal activities. This is not sold as a gaming PC nor should you buy it for gaming, but I did see people on you-tube running some older games in basic settings. To think, I used to work on Main-Frames that sat in air conditioned rooms that had far less power than this little cube sitting on my desk. My only con is that it's not completely silent, I hear a low level fan, but it does not interfere with any of my activities or listening to music.

For Basic Computing, This Thing Is Amazing
This little PC is amazing for it's size and price. Came with Windows 10 as promised and works great. Ran Geekbench and it's about 45% faster than similar PC Sticks that are not actively cooled. This product is better for two simple reasons:1. It is actively cooled- The fan is extremely quiet.2. Powered by USB-C Port. The J4125 processor needs 18W to fully function. This product as USB-C so it can get the full 18W so the processor is fully utilized.I've watched movies, run Office 365, browsed the web, and played some basic games. All worked great.Great little product.

Impressive for a little box!!! So why not 5 stars? It was close to getting that.
CHUWI LarkBox Pro Mini PC with 6GB RAM 128GB ROM Intel Celeron J4125 Quad Core processors impressed me. Quick background, main purpose was to find a solution for watching Xfinity (Comcast) TV on a normal TV outside the home. ROKU is the only streaming device that has the Xfinity app, which only works inside the home network. The idea was to have a very affordable and small device that I can take on the road and also have one to set-up a family member TV stream using a free WiFi hotspot. As stated I am impressed, tried another device (Atom processor and lower GHz) that claimed able to handle 4K and failed to work with Xfinity stream (website) in HD. This unit handled it like a champ and then placed it on my 4K TV and did YouTube 4K videos and still no issues handling the load. Yes, the fan will ramp up here and there, but I only hear it because the unit is an arm’s length away. The video quality is amazing, wasn’t expecting it to be able to stay so clear. Honestly, I had little faith as my computer and laptops are i-7 processors with higher end video cards. The initial loading takes some time, especially the many Windows updates. Expect to let it run overnight. CHUWI disabled access to a few management tools like GPO. Powershell script fixed that and I was able to remove the hated Cortona. Unistalled all not used programs, then installed Adobe free PDF reader. I have a copy of MS-Office (not 365) so loaded the basic Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (programs I use). Then did a file cleanup. The total space used 28 GB of 117 GB (128 GB ROM). I did add a 128 GB mirco SDXC card.It can take a 1 TB SSD SATA M.2, but just using the device for streaming Xfinity TV outside the home and some web browsing. Still toying with a 256 GB (Dogfish, never heard of them) for $44. If you think you need that much memory, then check out CHUWI website for other options. I bought the LarkBox for $179 (3/9/21) and week later (3/16/21) it is $219. LarkBox $219 plus $44 for 256 GB equal $263. If portability isn’t a factor, $36 more the CHUWI CoreBox i5 ($299) might be a better option, perhaps. Yes not as small. They do have other options on their site. Not saying I will trade in my favorite brands for this one, but the LarkBox has me curious about their i7 CoreBox.I did have the Xfinity stream playing in the background and was doing web searches and web emails with not issues.Pro:Small a very portableSpeedier than I expected for a Celeron with 6 GB of RAM.Handled the UHD 4K videos I played, but really only looking to use this with 1080 HD.Stays pretty coolCon:Only 6 GB RAM and 128 GB (less with overhead) internal storage. Be better if it was 8 or better RAM and internal was at least 256 GB. However, the 6 GB hasn’t slowed this down. While it stays cool, the fan ramps up a lot and can be heard. For some this may be annoying. Also, as mentioned the unit is arm’s length away.Price, at writing it jumped $40 in a week. So if adding an SSD there are better options in my opinion.

Works better than expected!
I purchased the larkbox pro as a inexpensive low-powered PC that can share a hard drive on my home network and it fits this job really well. It uses 4 watts of power at idle so less than a charging smartphone. In terms of performance it's rather speedy for simple tasks. And if this was my main computer I imagine I could do word processing and web browsing without issue. In my use case it would be nice if it had an RJ45 plug but it does not a USB adapter works fine. It has been a relatively cool winter so I haven't personally been experiencing the same on and off issue others have reported with the fan but then again most of the time it is just idling or copying and pasting a file which isn't too intense on the CPU. All in all I think it's a great little computer and for those who love tinkering around I'm sure you can run some fun applications on this hardware.

5+ stars to Amazon! Only!
Thanks Amazon for support and refund! I am grateful to you for helping me solve all my questions. And now about CHUWIIf you are looking for a reliable one!!! universal, working under any system computer, then..... here it is not.Only facts:1. The cooling system works ONLY in Windows and ONLY in the default version. If you are updating the system, be prepared to search the driver forums. There is no official support.2. Support for 4k also works, it is not clear how, after reinstalling the system and updating the drivers, I could not get the video card to work correctly. It's not that I couldn't watch 4k, it was really hard to work with at all.3. Linux is not supported, and this was the most important thing for me. Yes, I wrote a script that spins the cooler every 5-10 seconds and checked the temperature on the sensors, but this is complete nonsense. If I wanted to do this, I would buy a raspberry.4. WiFi is very slow.I talked to the guys from Amazon support we were unable to resolve these issues and they kindly agreed to a refund. Which made me very happy, they pay for the refund, even considering the fact that I'm on the other side of the planet :) For this, I have a huge respect for them and I think you can buy a laptop or something expensive through them.
