30 lb Lava Pebbles - 3/4 -in - 1-1/2 Natural Tumbled Round Pebbles for Indoor Outdoor Gas Fire Pit Rocks

We replaced the nasty red, jagged lava rock that came with our new propane fire table with this. I wanted something that resembled river rock as closely as possible while still being safe for use in a fire table. This hits the mark! The size is great, rocks are varying shades of gray, different shapes of round and oval and it was just the right amount! We've had zero issues with rocks exploding or cracking while using the fire table. I recommend this product!

These rocks are a great addition to my propane fire pit. A 20lb order will NOT be enough for any job, so order two! These rocks are chic and did not pop whatsoever. They did develop some soot over the first few uses but they still look great. They radiate warmth and spread the flame. I definitely recommend as an alternative to lava rocks. Love them!

Used for a gas fire pit. Changed out the glass for something that looks much better. Works great retains heat and covers more area than other for the weight.

The product is fine- and the package was weighed for mailing, so I know I got the correct amount that is advertised in weight.The shape is good and the quality is good.They sort of look like Mexican beach pebbles in shape and I like that modern and cool look that these have over standard lava rock as well as the color (not red as some is).I’ll probably take a few for my indoor terrarium because they are a cool shape.The one drawback I see is that I had to buy two more bags and I’m still not even sure if that will be enough for the project I’m working on (a firepit). I really didn’t want to spend $75-$100 on rocks that won’t even be seen half of the time, but I guess since I started down this route I’m stuck rebuying more of them.Overall I’d recommend them.

Our firepit originally came with recycled glass for the insert and it was pretty much an eye sore. I wanted something that was more earthy and these caught my eye. Overall they vary in size from about .5 inches to 3 inches - I'm a little worried about the little ones but time will tell how they hold up over time and it does make for a better looking variety. I was pleasantly surprised that this filled my entire opening which made them quite the steal! I say, go for it!

We've had these Lava Pebbles for several months now and have used many fires with them. They look great and they are excellent for our gas fireplace!! We've had no issues with them. I noticed some of the negative reviews mention they pop or explode in a gas fireplace, perhaps these people are placing the pebbles directly over the gas vents. Proper set-up requires free flow of gas/no blockage. So just properly place your pebbles and enjoy!!!

I just got these and wanted to test out this popping and exploding assertion that some reviewers are claiming. I put the thing on the stove and had the flame at a medium to medium/high setting for at least 10 minutes. No popping. No exploding. The only thing that I am aware of that would cause such a phenomenon is if the rocks were wet and then a person put a flame to them. I was not going to test that out inside the house. Nice product, nice size, good price. Don't hesitate to buy. Don't put flame to them unless dry. Just a suggestion.

This is just what I wanted for my 39'' fire table (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079N122YT?tag=gotootle-20). I did not like the red lava rocks that came with the table. I bought 2 bags but realized later that 1 was enough! The stones look beautiful, they are without any sharp corners and mostly clear of dust. They do accumulate black soot after burning for a few hours. I am very happy with this purchase!
