Great chain... The best service
I've purchased this chain in the past and I know that it's a good chain, works well and will last for a while on my SRAM equipped bicycle. What really got me to write this review is the great service that I received from Planet Cyclery (PC) when the order was delivered in a wet, damaged, opened and empty envelope. I contacted PC when I couldn't figure out how to file a claim through Amazon and found them very prompt and within minutes I was informed that they had credited my credit card. I placed a reorder the next day from PC through Amazon and received the new chain 3 days before Amazon's promised delivery. That is great service!!

Does what it is supposed to do
I have not had this chain long enough to say anything about longevity, but it is fine freshly installed and installation was like one would expect. No complaints.

Great chain, easy to install, works nicely with Shimano 105 drivetrain
Replaced original Shimano 105 chain with SRAM 1071 hollow pin and Powerlink and was SO easy to install (after removing several extra links). The SRAM chain was more noisy for the first 200 miles when chainline angle between compact crank (double) and rear cluster was within 2 or 3 gears of the widest angle but after 200 miles it quieted down and noise differences between the two chains disappeared. Chain cleans up nicely and is going strong after 800 miles. I clean the chain on bike with a Simple Green in a chain cleaner but nice to know that I can simply remove Powerlink and replace with a new one if I want to take chain off the bike.

SRAM OEM Quailty
It’s an OEM SRAM chain that I installed on my gravel bike when I put a Quarq power meter on. It was easy to shorten with a regular chain tool, and then connect back with the connector. It has lasted for the 400 gravel miles I’ve put on it so far with no stretch. It should last quite a while.

Ah, what a difference
I'd gone too long between new chains. Holy smokes is this one silent! Seems like a good chain for the money.

Perfect replacement for the shimano
I like the hollow pin design of the 1071 along with the quick link to connect the ends. When I want to clean the chain by removing it from the gears, the process is very easy and doesn't require the chain break tool. Good purchase ready for a few thousand miles.
