It was a good gift, however you can totally see the picture before putting hot water in it. So there was no surprise to my friend when he tried it because he could already see what it was. So that was disappointing.

Such a cool black mug that is fun to use! The graphic is crisp and appears only after a hot liquid fills the mug.

Fun mug. The quality isn’t perfect but it’s definitely worth it. You can clearly see what is on it without heat. But once heat is added you see it much clearer and in color.

I bought this mug for my girlfriend who is a giant coffee fiend, and loves the elder scrolls series.She loves the mug. I love the mug too, I definitely don't use it for coffee if she doesn't...That said the image is visible even when not heated, but I don't consider that a drawback. It's almost like, if the company informs you of a problem with a design ahead of time. You aren't shocked or angered by it. What a concept. The mug gets an A for me.It also holds coffee, did I mention that?

I have read reviews of other people getting mugs like this with just a sticker on the mug. This is not like that.I put hot water in the mug, and the black turns white slowly, the picture becoming clear. I was giddy to see it worked just as I wanted. I will not that it has an odd sensitivity to heat on the surface: it turns blacker (it's "cool" color) when I sip from it. It looks like a temporary lipstick mark. But yeah, definitely a great mug!

This is a nice mug but you can see the picture even when the mug is empty. The pictures implied that it was solid black until filled with a hot liquid, but it's not. It's a dull version of the picture. Still a cute concept but ruins the surprise of the mug.

Got this for my friend for her birthday. She had nothing but good things to day. The image is somewhat (gotta squint and put it in the bright light) visible even when the mug isn't heated, but other than that it was wonderful. Came in a good packaging with no damage on arrival (thank you to the amazing amazon delivery driver!). 10/10 would buy again, debating actually getting it for myself
