Works great. I do not use the static shock or beeping options, just the vibration.Jack is about 55 lbs.I allow my dogs to bark at things ... because they are dogs. But Jack was barking non-stop at a new neighbor. He listened to the "quiet" command for the most part, but not with the neighbor outside.The vibrate option works very well. There are 16 levels of vibration. I use it at level 6.The sound setting is supposed to be used to reward but it scared him for some reason so I never use it. I don't want my "tough guy" dog afraid of any thing that beeps.I did try the static shock on myself. It was surprisingly mild at a low setting. However I do not use that option. I suppose the static shock may be an acceptable way to train but it could be used the wrong way.Charging is easy as you can plug the collar and remote in at the same time. The charge seems to last a long time though we only have it on a couple of hours a day.I recommend this collar and haven't been paid to say it. Found it by doing research.

I was afraid of this kind of collar at first but it works really well. If you read the directions and use it right you won't hurt your dog. After a full charge I decided to try it on myself so I'd know what my dog was feeling. My thoughts as I was testing it: Level 1 - "not bad". Level 2 - "felt that". Level 3 - "okay that's uncomfortable, don't want to do that again". On level 2, the shock was enough to get my 40 pound, 6 month old pit bull's attention. On level 8, she yelped. So there's a good range to find what works on your dog.I bought this specifically to train her to stay away from the road (I live in the country). The instructions say that you aren't supposed to set it high enough to make them yelp. I made an exception. She hasn't been near the road since. I truly believe that this device has saved my dog from getting run over.

This collar has worked wonders for my 1yr 4 mon old "Austiff" puppy. She is very smart & very hard headed/stubborn.She listens good, on a leash; however, knows when she's not (on a leash) I didn't have the ability to correct her and she took advantage of that (especially hiking in the Pa woods) she would run around like a wild woman, chase deer/squirrel/rabbits and if a bike rider went by on a trail, she'd chase them too...I'm on track to training her to be Search And Rescue (SAR) as I'm a Pre Hospital RN (PHRN) and hoping to become a wilderness nurse/ SAR team. This collar has set her up for success and given me confidence that we can become the team I dream of. This is my first e-collar. I've had dogs all my life, and was adverse to "shock collars" . I did a lot of research on e-collars and training techniques with them. The Lobo Commander is everything we hoped for. It's waterproof, easy to use, 3modes with adjustable settings for each mode, the collar receiver isn't huge, as SAR she needs all these. The transmitter clips onto my belt and the range is good. And the collar is affordable, good quality, rechargeable eliminates the need for batteries. I found other collars with a range of 1 mile and twice the cost of the Lobo Commander, without as many of the other features.Jannali "Nali" has responded so well to her training, we work everyday and look forward to helping others after our skills are developed.As a ER RN and concerned "mom" Nali's safety is a consideration, the Lobo Commander delivers! I would/will/and do recommend this collar. My friends at work are all asking me "what collar are you using" without hesitation I tell them Lobo Commander and I'm incredibly Pleased!! *EDIT* After having trouble with my first one, the company contacted me to send me a new one - without me even asking! My new one has had zero issues, and works exactly as advertised. I feel like the first one I received was just a dud, or I was sent a used one. But the customer service I received was unlike any I've gotten anywhere else! I'm so impressed with how professional they were, and how much they genuinely care about their product and customer satisfaction. I now give them a 5 star rating for product and customer service! I have only used this collar about a month, and I'm going to try and return it. While I really like the three separate options for correcting (and my dog responded well to all), I am disappointed that the collar does not consistently work. I usually have to power off and on to make it start working again, even on a full charge. This completely defeats the purpose of correcting on the spot. Also, the buttons can get stuck on the controller, and the extended beep or vibration scared my puppy. I really hoped that this collar would work, because the price is great! It also has all the options I wanted. But unfortunately, I'll have to look for something else. I have never tested this around water, so I can't speak for how well that works.

Collar is big enough to fit a lion. So will fit the largest dog and have to trim the excess. I love how each botton is seperate for the tone, vibrate, and shock. The controller plenty powerful to bring my big rottweiler to his knees. The instruction manual says the tone botton is for rewarding but my rott recognizes it as a correction. He immediately stops chasing the cat if he hears the tone. Ive only had to use the shock a few times. Now the tone is enough. I had to buy a replacement collar becauae i cut the collar to small and my rottweiler out grew the collar. Replacements are like 10 bucks. The collar last at least 3 days. I havent tested it passed that becauae i put it on the charger every other night. Havent had any problems with my dog being shocked randomly like some other brands out there. My only complaint is that the plastic collar came rolled up the opposite direction then the way it goes on the dog which makes the plastic collar want to roll up and the end sticks up when on the dog. Pain in the ass. I heated it up with a heat gun and it fixed it.
