Bird Song Musical Wall Clock

There are 2 separate battery compartments, one for a single AA battery for the clock mechanism, the other for 2 AA batteries for the chirps. Both of these compartments are secured by tiny Phillips head screws and are very hard to remove even with the correct sized screwdriver, which I happened to have on hand as I had to unscrew the back of my laptop once otherwise, I'd have had to run to the hardware store. No idea why a clock that is generally not moved would be designed this kind of closure. The birds sound fine - the 6 o'clock owl sounds a bit anemic but the others are charming. Also, the instructions say to put the batteries in clock at 5:50 am (and adjust the time from there) but it's a 12-hour clock so it was just lucky that I started it in the daytime instead of in the evening as I'd have had to do a lot of dial twisting. The fact that they don't chirp between 9pm and 6am seems to be a workaround for not having a light sensor that the others generally have.Lastly, it seems an ecological extravagance to have a clock delivered from the UK. The packing was fine and it arrived on the date promised (17 days after ordering)Grumbling aside, it seems to be a good clock and hopefully will last a long time. This is my third bird clock in 20 years so I've had good luck.

I looked for a while for a British bird clock to complement my bird clock collection. Found it on Amazon and ordered it. It arrived in good shape, and ready to use. The downside is some of the bird calls, especially those of the owls are a little scary, and sound more like cats having their tails yanked than owls! On the plus side, the robin sounds sweet. :-)

...one that doesn't work! It might be a great clock but until it accepts standard AA batteries, it's not a clock. The minute hand is pretty loose which makes me suspect how accurate it might be when powered up. All in all, this one's going back for refund. The lack of quality contraindicates a replacement.

clock arrived on schedule, directions were clear, used new correct size batteries. however the batteries will not fit. it is as if the battery compartment is a fraction of an inch too small. forcing the batteries in worked for less than one minute then one or all would pop out of the compartment. can not use without batteries! this was a gift for someone out of state, therefore i can not return it. very disappointed. this was the second singing bird clock i bought online and the second clock to not work.

Disappointed, A few of the birds did not even sound like birds.

Purchased for a Christmas gift. Tested it before giving it, it's nice quality, Nice sounding bird calls. Has a quality look to it Recipient says she's happy with it.

What wonderful sounds to remind you on the hour. I love this clock. Fits nicely where I expected to hang it and is loud enough to hear through the whole house. Perfect just what I expected.

a lovely version of the bird clock. I've had several, always prefer the green frame. I like these larger bird pictures, especially the very visible 12 and 6 owls. was for my mom. she's very happy.
