The cutter/tightener works great, and it comes with a lot of strap and clasps. Unfortunately, like many others, the first few times I used the clamp I could not for the life of me get it to fully close, leaving the clasp somewhat loose on the strap. I thought maybe the clamp arms were too short and I just needed more torque, but no amount of force seemed to make a difference. After a few weeks I needed to use it again to pack a heavy box and to my utter astonishment the clamp went from fully open to fully closed with normal effort, leaving a perfectly sealed clasp. I put on 2 straps and the clamp worked great on both of them! I have NO IDEA what changed since I know I put the clasp on in the same orientation and clamped it the same way, but SOMETHING CHANGED. Bottom line: The product is a great value and I'm very glad I purchased it, but it might be worth fiddling with the clamp & clasp orientation to get it to work properly because it CAN work properly and doesn't need extraordinary force to do so (like I first thought).

I needed to ship something heavy and was looking for extra support to keep the package closed... THIS is a wonderful solution and the perfect price!!!!!! What an utter relief to find the answer. Perfect set to start with if you are just starting to do pallet wrapping. Really well made tools.

As another user mentioned, the crimper doesn't fully close the crimps, so the strap slips. It's like the crimps and the crimper are not compatible. We could only get the crimper to travel half the way. Try it right away, don't wait a year like I did !!

A very good way to do banding at home or in a small shop without purchasing a very expensive piece of equipment. A little more difficult to use but well worth the savings if you don’t have high volume requirements.
