Mitsubishi Pencil Kohitsu Shosha for pencil hexagon axis 1 dozen 4B (japan import)

My favorite writing pencil along with its' 6B counterpart. Smooth and dark writing with a thick core that sharpens to a beautiful point that lasts much longer than other smaller core 4B's. Their 6B is a little smoother and darker but wears down quicker. I love and use them both. I've tried all the Hi-Uni's and Tombow Mono 100's and others that are also great but these are my overall favorites. They also make these same 4B & 6B pencils in a triangular shape rather than these more common hexagonal ones; I like them even more in terms of comfort and grip but they are only available in packs of 3 and are twice as expensive per pencil.

Very nice, but nothing close to Caran dache

These have a large lead that writes soooo smoothly. I've been practicing writing Kanji with them and have loved how these pencils handle the symbols. I highly recommend.

Absolutely mind blowing. I keep buying them compulsively in case they are ever discontinued. I am a pencil collector with over 100 different models of pencil and this blows them all away (except the Castell 9000 6B, which is comparable) in terms of smoothness. Of course, not for general use. This is the pencil I show to people who think that all pencils are the same. Using it is a sensual experience. This price is also a good value!

Those pencils are not for casual writing tasks,but from pencils lover prospective they are unique and better than anything ( including the blackwing) ... the build quality and finishing is an art work, and they preduced to be an arts tool ... writing with them is not an easy, with thick dark lines and fast wearing graphite...but everytime you use them you Will be fascinated. Best pencils ever made.
