Xantrex 808-0817-02 Remote Control, Bluetooth, Freedom X/XC

This was a super-simple, drop-in upgrade for our Xantrex system in a LTV Wonder RV. We're upgrading from AGM to Lithium batteries, and I needed Bluetooth access via the Xantrex app to get into the charging profile settings. I removed 2 screws, pulled out the old display, unhooked the RJ11 (phone cable) connection, plugged in the new display (didn't need the LONG extra RJ11 cable provided, but thank you!), turned on the 12v switch and fired up the app. Connected immediately, was able to run through all the charging profiles, find the lithium settings, and fine tune them. Great piece of kit for a fair price.

Easy to install. Customer support from the manufacturer was awesome! Called about an issue I had for almost two years. Explained to me what I needed to look at. Fixed an issue not associated to the purchase of the item. But it would not work correct because of an install issue from the RV manufacture.

The bluetooth feature is what I wanted, with it you can program from your smart phone, nice. On the other hand, maybe pos or neg, just depends on how you look at it, you don't pair it once and done. Each time you wish to access the remote via BT you have to tell the remote to pair again, then the app sees it and you are good, for that session. Although it would be nice if the app and remote could always remain paired, but I believe the reasoning is an issue of constant power consumption if left paired. I like it and would have no problem recommending it.

If you have the non blue tooth version you really need to get this! So easy to switch out, did it in less that 1 min and it automatically hooked up to the app. So easy to change the settings when needed.

I upgraded to this one from my non-bluetooth Freedom X remote for. It was a simple swap as they are the exact same size. The app is good, easy to install and read. Also, easy to set up the inverter to my own configurations using the app (instead of having to use three button the panel). My biggest issue with it is the range of the bluetooth signal, it's really short, 50 ft, maybe. I have a Victron solar contoller and the signal for that is much better, I can even access it from within my house (my rv is in my driveway). So, the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to the range of the signal. Everything else I'm quite satisfied with.

Easy to install and set up.

Exactly what I needed to finish out my electrical upgrade on our leisure travel van. Great value, fantastic performance.

Bought a new inverter and I didn't get this remote screen. So bought on and the install was so easy. Just plug it in and boom it worked I even linked it though blue tooth. I am a numbers guy and the Bluetooth gives me all the number and more really and super happy with this

Now I can use my phone to make the setting changes...

Works as needed and allows adjustment that other wise would be a lot harder to do on a LTV 2021 due to the way the inverter is mounted.
