Good stuff man! It goes on really creamy and doesn't make too many suds. It smells great! Most of all, I got a smooth shave and soft skin afterwards.

Good shaving soap. Great lather, pleasant scent.

Pluses: Gentleman Jon produces a quick lather. It sticks to the shaving bowl firmly. The fragrance is very nice and not overwhelming. It smells "natural", not like a cheap imitation from the lab. That's subjective of course. It rinses from the brush and razor well and quickly.Minuses: Being a glycerin formula it doesn't have the strong cushioning of a tallow-based soap. It's good, not great, but enough not to be a problem. It's a small puck of soap, but not expensive.My take: I'll buy it again and find it a very good value for the money. I've tried a fair number of different soaps - this one is (for me) much better than average. I can't say how long it will last as I've only used it for a week or so, but it's not just disappearing (as some others have). Great if you are not sure that the brush and bowl route is for you as it's inexpensive, or if you travel a lot (small and light can be a good thing too). The scent is dialed in well and the shaving performance is a firm good to very good on my medium density beard.

Fantastic fragrance and a smooth shave

IMO very high quality. Almost a gel type foamy suds. Excellent right from the first time. Applies great to the skin and shaves well. No scrapes or chafing with my rough beard. The smell is a little strong but pleasant, old barbershopy. Expensive but who cares, seems to last well.

I haven't been using shaving soap that long, maybe two years. Gentleman Jon is the third type that I've purchased. I tried it for the first time today, and I'm impressed! It lathers up better than the other brands I've used, I experienced a closer shave, and I like the smell. I will continue to use this brand.

i dont know if its the ingredients or something else but something inside it irritates my skin. i shave and then later in the day my skin gets itchy. other than that it shaved and lathers good. smaller size than I had expected it to be too.
