Original Yoga Mats 1/4-inch

This mat is great because it stays firmly on the floor and doesn't slide when I jump/hop from side to side in POP pilates! It is also well made so when I jump back into a plank in yoga/pilates it doesn't tear like a cheaper mat that I had. Even though this mat is thinner than some others, to me, it is still soft and comfortable. One of the best things about this mat is that I'm 5"3" and when I do a "morning" stretch, lying on my back with arms & legs fully extended, I fit! No part of my body is off the mat! I was pleasantly surprised to have such a good quality mat that also looks pretty for such a great price!

This is just what I wanted! I wanted a durable, yet not too thick mat. I have wood floors and this mat stays in place and the texture allowed me to stretch on it with socks on and there was no slip at all. There's enough traction so that when you roll it up, it doesn't slide around. It's also not too thick to where it'll tear or cumbersome to roll up. I've used other mats that were a pain to put away; you don't want to have to deal with that after your work out. It comes with an elastic carrying strap that I really like because it's got some give to it. You don't have to roll the mat all tightly just to get it to fit back in again. I think this mat is the best quality for the cost and I'm very satisfied with it. It also didn't come in a whole bunch of unnecessary packaging. Just shrink wrapped in plastic. And, there was no chemical, plastic smell which I was expecting!

Overall I'm happy with the purchase because I was looking for a lightweight, budget option. But it's already beginning to wear after a few outdoor sessions.

I ordered a gaiam weeks before this one and it was falling apart, smelled funny, and quite thick. It's the perfect thickness, in my opinion, it aired out quickly, and I feel stable in inversions and difficult poses after I start sweating. The strap it comes with is also perfect. Better than the gaiam and half the price,; great value.

Nice mat with a good cushion to it but is NOT good for any kind of hot yoga or yoga with cardio. I was sliding all over the place during my class with it. It also smelled really strongly when I first got it so I had to let it air-out for a few days before use.

Easy storage, easy folding, comfortable, pretty long and soft, looks great, and it easily portable. I highly recommend it!

This mat is very light, easy to roll, it is thick enough for my knees and the straps do the job. I use a towel on top of it for my hot yoga classes and both stay in place through class. I also love the colour! The price is very good and I wouldn't even look for a different brand/model mat if I had to get one more.

I was worried it might have that strong chemical-like smell found in new yoga mats, but it didn't! The size is perfect and it holds grip on the floor perfectly and I use it every day. So far, no wear and tear, however be wary if you have a cat as they tend to like sinking those claws into them and mine has taken out a couple pieces of the mat already.
