I bought these wall anchors to install my Moen towel bar. I drilled a 1/4 inch hole thru the drywall, used a Phillips Star shaped screwdriver to manually tighten the anchor until flush. It took some elbow greece but got the job done. Then I placed the mounting bracket over the hole and manually screwed in the provided screw.The wall anchors are very good quality and have done an excellent job. I highly recommend.

These are the only ones I use anymore. No need for a drill. Must have for thin drywall. They will make a larger hole but if your cheep hangers fail the damage to wall is worse

I am sure the item is great but amazon lost the whole order and it was not delivered. They want a review but I guess their own system doesn't tell them that the order was never delivered.

The self drilling aspect wasn't that great, so I ended up drilling the old school way.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The point of having self tapping anchors is to not have to drill pilot holes. I tired inserting these without a pilot hole, and with a pilot hole. Unfortunately, even with a pilot hole, the plastic in these is too soft to screw them in all the way before it strips. This is the second one I’ve had to back out with a pair of pliers. The only good thing I can say is that there is no expansion lock to prevent removing them from the drywall. Thank goodness for that. Total waste of money.
