Nice light, make sure it will fit your gun.
This light seems to be well made. It also seems to be pretty tough. I tried mounting it on four different handguns. It fits well on the gen 3 Glock 23 and on a Polymer80 PF940c. I suspect that it will fit any Glock full size and compact frame that has rails. It won't fit on my gen 2 Glock 23 because it does not have rails, duh. It does not fit on my Taurus PT140 gen 2 (or the PT111 gen 2). And, surprisingly, it does not fit on my Springfield XD mod 2 3.3" 45 ACP. On the handguns it didn't fit on, the light won't lock on to the rails because it hits the front of the trigger guard. It does put out a nice amount of light. You turn it on by sliding the switch from the right (using your trigger finger if you're right handed) to left. You turn it off by sliding the switch the other way. I could see how this might cause the light to inadvertently turn on in a holster or pistol save, like my Speed Vault.I do like this light and think it is a great value. Wish it fit my Springfield though.

Light for novice or professional.
Purchased this light after using other lights by big name brands and found that the placement of the controls to be terrible. The switch for this light is slightly below where a right hand dominate shooter places there trigger finger on the frame of a Glock 19 when not shooting. The switch positions is intuitive and positive for ON and turning OFF with support hand thumb(again for a right hand dominate shooter). The light installs without tools securely and quickly on a Glock 19 gen 5.The light output is bright white and far reaching, great balance that doesn’t over light the environment. This light DOESN’T have the strobe feature which I don’t care for as it is distracting and can make you miss subtle changes in target and your environment as the pulse of on and off occur.(personal observation and prefrence)Unboxing: the battery it shipped with had corroded terminals and terribly under powered. I threw it out and used a brand name battery and the light preforms as designed.Testing: 200 rounds 9mm nato FMJ 124 fully loaded Glock 19 magazines fired as quick as possible to create maximum recoil impluse and heat. When the gun ran empty(and checked for safe and empty) pistol was dropped. Drops were from chest height onto concrete floor covered with thin cardboard. Drops were at four different angels (muzzle, rear of slide, ejection port facing up, ejection port facing down five drops per angle with light left on. (I will continue these test every month, if I encounter any issues I will update and explain)Results: light stayed on frame, light never flickered, only turned off when switch contacted the ground. This light ran flawless. The lens after firing was fouled but didn’t dramatically affect light output. I have not tried any water test and I won’t as this isn’t a waterproof light from it’s apperance. It appears to be water resistant(not tested).Recommendation to Dagger Defense: include brand name battery, make the bezel of light flush fitting for a Glock 19 and make the switch silent when activated.(If you can power by AA battery)Recommendation to possible buyers: Buy this light for your defensive pistol you will not be disappointed.

Good value. Minor tweak required for my gear.
Good quality product. The switch has a good detente and is easy to turn on/off with one finger. I agree with reviewers that this light is more than adequate for home defense. Very bright spotlight for indoor use. Some LED lights require expensive batteries so the inexpensive battery that powers the light is a plus. The picatinny channel was blocked with paint so I had use a small file on the inner rails to fit this on my Sig P320. Good snug fit once I opened the ends up. Five star for value. Docked one star for the blocked channel, but in this price range I'm pleased.

READY TO LIGHT UP THE NIGHT?
Now that I've seen this flashlight mounted and in action, I know it's an indispensable handgun tool since it produces a focused target spotlight and an area flood light, all from one strong beam. But it's not so overpowering as to incapacitate the "home defender" with bright wall-bounce light. And yet it's more than sufficient to illuminate and probably temporarily blind any home intruder. What more could a potential victim ask for? This light looks so good mounted on my Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0, 9mm pistol, it's like they were made for each other. The metal color is a great match and I really appreciate the quick release (no hex wrenches required) and the quality of the materials. And I'm also impressed with the design. I hope I never have to use this defense light in a life threatening situation but it's quite comforting to know it's there and ready to quickly fire up if needed. If you're looking for a well made, inexpensive, but highly valued pistol light, you need to look no further.

Good solid bright light But I am not a fan ...
Good solid bright lightBut I am not a fan of the on/off switch.I laid the gun on my table as I was walking out and when I got back the light was on.I tried it several more times and simply laying the gun on it's right side is enough to activate the light.I am also used to activating the light with my off hand, not my trigger finger. Also the holsters I have been looking at seem to expect the switch to be activated from the left side because they all are flat on the right and have a channel on the left.I'm thinking about trying to fit a spring on the left side to create a little more pressure to activate. But it's probably going on a shotgun
