Teacher Review. Great for my very active 2 1/2 year old with little to none attention span! Here is why:
I bought these for my 2 1/2 year old son. He recently was use to going to daycare but now I am staying at home with him. He has learned so much at daycare that I want to continue teaching him at home. Also he is very active and has a very short attention span. You may say that is normal for this age but he is more so than other children his age. He won't even sit down to watch any kind of TV. He's always on the move trying to take something a part, climb something or get into something he shouldn't. But he will sit down long enough to go through most of the cards in this deck! He loves talking about and looking at the activities that Max does on these cards. These cards provoke conversations vs drilling concepts with questions. As a former teacher, these are great at developing meaningful learning. I feel the concepts are very age appropriate.

My child likes them and is learning
My 16 month old loves looking at these cards. I know they say they are for 2 to 3 year olds, but I go over the cards with him and he can point to everything in the pictures and if I point to a picture of something and ask him where it is in his room, he points to it.Positives, I enjoy that the cards go over every day things and also things that you may only encounter during certain seasons, like snow or Halloween. The cards also give you ideas of questions to ask your child that help with learning. I appreciate the help. They are things I wouldn't think of asking because I am so tired ALL THE TIME my brain shuts down. The negatives I find are that the illustrations aren't the best (although they aren't bad just crude and not very detailed) and the way the cards are all hooked together cause the baby to pull on the cards that we've already been through, but he is getting better at not doing that.Overall, I love these cards and they seem to be teaching my little turd and he likes looking at them.

Brain Quest cards for 2-3 years olds? Yes, please!!!
Brain Quest does it again... They're always hitting it out of the ballpark when it comes to helping kids to enhance their learning. I love that these cards come bound together and are small enough to fit in a purse or a toddler backpack. They are made from high quality cardstock that almost has the feel of a smooth layer of wax on top of it. How do they do that??? But, what I love most about this set is that it's for ages 2-3, the primetime for toddlers to be soaking it all in before Pre-K! I seriously wondered how they were going to make these cards work for a two or three year old, but they did it! I am super impressed with the thoughtfulness behind this deck. The that is definitely something my twin 2 year olds can grow with this next year.

Great product and fun learning tool
My 2.5 year old loves these cards. He was a bit behind in speech and within a few weeks of doing the cards sporadically throughout the day he had marked improvement in making sentences. These decks are fun and build within the card and variety within the deck. My son begs to do the cards before bed almost every night. It sparks good discussion and words that he may not have been exposed to regularly.

I browsed through it and loved it. So when I found these age appropriate ...
I bought the PRE-K Book when my kiddo was born but have yet to use it since he's still only 2. I browsed through it and loved it. So when I found these age appropriate ones from Brain Quest, I sat on it for a day or two hoping to find it for a better price, then pulled the trigger when it became clear that Amazon WAS the better price.I don't know what I was expecting, but these were definitely not it. The cards basically just ask you to identify what the monkey is doing in each picture - something my son and I already do with his regular books - so I felt pretty disappointed in thinking I'd discovered some amazing new technique to make my toddler smarter. It's still a great activity to do though in a neat little package (comes with a dustbag) so I'm rating it 4 stars.

Great Start to Learning!
I was very excited to find that they made these for young ages! I thought the youngest they went was pre-k! I have been having so much fun playing with these with my 1 year-old and she loves pointing out the items I ask her about. These cards encourage word skills and conversation skills. They have different categories, like "A Day in the Park" and ask questions like "What is this?" with a picture of a clock or "What is Max putting on his feet?" with a picture of Max the Monkey putting on his slippers. My daughter is still a little young to fully understand the conversation aspect, but I ask her things like "Where is the clock?" and she will point it out to me and try to say it. It's a wonderful starter for younger children beginning to learn words and I think she will love them even more as she gets older and can start answering the longer questions. :)

This Is A Must Have!
I was looking all over for something to help my two year old learn a bit more in a fun way. I've tried the "Teach My Baby" and the "Teach My Toddler" kits but I honestly have to say that this product wowed me way more than those products! It's sent in a beautiful glossy cardboard box that opens on the top to reveal two decks of spinning thick glossy paper. I adored this packaging. It even comes with a bonus green draw string holding bag for on the go!My daughter took to this so well. She enjoyed the monkey Max and the animation is nice. It's set up in different categories (Mornings, Breakfast, Fall, Christmas, etc.) so I kept to the categories that she knew most of at first and she did so well. There are words at the bottom of each page to help direct you into what to ask your little one to help them learn. This helped us a lot. We're currently working on subjects she's not too familiar with and she's picking up on the words and things so well and so fast.I highly recommend this product to anyone who is serious about trying to teach your little one about more things or to get them talking more. For this price, you cannot get better. Also, Christmas is coming up and this would be a perfect stocking stuffer!!
