I like them. Comfortable and great sound.
I bought 2 pairs of these. I have my own recording and use them a lot. Very comfortable and sound really good. The chord is long enough to reach where they need to go. Very good product.

Really good headphones, can't believe they were so affordable
I bought these for my son, for music production work on the PC. I was blown away at how good they sound. They don't have a shrill high end treble like a lot of studio headphones, so they're a little warm sounding. You can hear the bass, and not worry about the high end making you (or your child) deaf.I liked these headphones so much I ordered a higher end Mackie headphone for myself (MC-350) but I was shocked to discover the MC-100s are better... Not only do the MC-100s sound better, they fit better. MC-100s are second generation headphones. Mackie learned from their 150/350/450 series and released a higher quality headphone with the MC-100.I would recommend this headphone for someone that needs studio headphones but can't afford something high end. And they're exceptionally good for a kid because they're affordable and relatively durable.

The jack is weak and will eventually fail
I have 3 pairs of this item, and have no complaints about comfort and sound quality. They are used constantly in a studio environment. However, the 3.5mm jack is not robust and without any mis-treatment will eventually fail. I would pay a couple dollars more for a soldered and higher quality plug. Mackie should consider getting rid of the cheap molded plug and improving the quality. I bought replacement 3.5mm plugs, but found the wire on these headphones to be very cheap and virtually impossible to repair. The wires inside the cable do not have insulation, there's a coating of colored paint instead, with nylon thread woven into the copper wires. Impossible to solder, even after using solvents, abrasives, and flame to try to expose bare wire. In the end, you have to throw these away.

Great headset for DJ, Small studio, or Podcasting.
I bought these mainly to mess around with Ableton Live and start making a few songs with an Arturia Minilab keyboard. A few things to note:1. They sound great with great base levels. However once you increase the base levels they tend to distort a bit.2. They have are great noise cancelation compared to another pair that i own. My wife would be on video calls and complain that she could hear the music on my old pair even after turning them down. On these i can turn them up pretty high and she will not hear them. This can be a plus if you want them for a kid who uses a tablet for youtube or something like that.3. They are comfortable compared to other sets i have used in the past or even my last set of headphones. Even though i can wear them for a couple of hours, you will feel a little tension on your ear after long use. Compared to my old pair this is not a complaint as i could only wear my old pair for 30 minutes at a time before having to take them off due to the pain on my ears.4. I would definitely recommend for dj's but they may not have a good enough balance for professional mixing in a study. They will also do great as personal monitor headphones such as a drummer who is recording. These may also be great for a beginner podcast studio as they have a long cable.5. Last thing is after two months of normal use, the mackie logo seems to be coming off or erasing. This is a bummer as it is what adds to the esthetic of the headphones. You can see this on one of my uploaded images.I still rated 5 stars even though the logo is coming off because the quality of audio you are getting for the price is unbeatable.

Excellent sound, far better than I expected at this price point. My main concern was the fit, I have a VERY large head (7 7/8 hat size) and they fit just fine while still fully covering both ears.

The quality is compared to a very expensive one.
I purchased this for my husband he is a DJ and he was so amazed by the quality he thought it’s very expensive like $300 but after I checked all the reviews this particular item was the most affordable and efficient to use.

"Ok: headphones, not decent for studio
As a music producer, I've had plenty of headphones. These were average at best, and not good enough for studio/live mixing. I personally prefer the Sony MDR-7506's. I'd recommend these Mackie headphones for someone who is a casual music listener. The bass reproduction is ok. The mids are a bit cloudy but the casual listener may not care as much.
