Super Knife Built to Last
The knife arrived with good protective packaging just 1 day after placing my order. Inspection of the knife revealed no flaws what so ever and the D2 steel was protected with a light coating of grease and placed in a plastic-like bag. Unlike some who found the sheath not able to hold the knife securely, mine was more than up to the task... I was really surprised to find the knife was so tightly secured that I thought that it was locked in place. It took more than considerable effort to get it out! I put it back in the sheath and found it equally difficult to remove it. Tension was simply too tight. I was able to wedge the top opening next to the top rivet to loosen the tension. Believe me, this sheath secures the knife! CONCLUSION: You can't wear it out... it will be around a long, long time. Trying to find a better quality knife under $125-$150 is not likely gonna happen. PROS: Knife is "indestructible", if properly taken care of it can easily last 100+ years; full tang construction with lanyard loop; stone wash finish protects blade from scratching; extremely durable and comfortable G10 scales with no hot spots; can definitely handle chopping chores; can be sharpened razor sharp; and comes with a very durable sheath. Outstanding overall quality. Terrific camp knife, probably one of the best there is at a super price. CONS: No jimping on the spine; too large and heavy for EDC; weight may be too much for backpacking; skinning style blade may not be best for most uses. Price is likely to go up due to demand... better order it now!

Great Skinner for Large Game
Great knife, at twice the price. The handle is comfy for large hands, and the size and angle make it great for a skinning knife for deer and larger animals. The blade came sharp enough to field dress and quarter an animal, but if you're serious like me, it takes a scary sharp razor edge if you know what you're doing. It should be fairly weather and blood resistant; as always, keep them clean and lightly oiled. The sheath is well made and holds the knife firmly; trade-off being that it can be noisy, unless you master the thumb-assisted de-sheathing technique. All in all, it is remarkable that a knife of this quality can be made this cheaply. I can't tell you about how it batons or cuts through car hoods or how long it takes to hack a pine tree down with it, because I am a high functioning adult, and also own hatchets, axes, and machetes for such tasks. It is big enough to handle any problem I've ever encountered in mountains or jungles, anywhere, but the right size and angle for the control needed for finesse work.

Well Made Blade
This knife is made very well. Has a look and feel that rivals fixed blades at 2 & 3x the price of this one. The steel, i can't verify if true D2, as advertised, but it seems to hold an edge well. It may be 8CR13MOV but again I can't say, and for the money that's okay if so. Good edge retention, pretty strong tip (tested within reason), very comfortable in the hand, and easy to wield and work with. The sheath is molded very nice for a good fit and a positive "click" as the knife seats into it. The tek-lok belt attachment isn't a real Blade-Tech brand, but it's still quality and functions well. This will make a great "user" knife that will be stylish, and you won't feel bad for getting some wear on it because it's so affordable. I'll be buying more Eafengrow fixed blades, if they're all as nice as this example of one.

Great project knife
Pros: -Heavy weight, makes a great field knife -Feels great in hand, easy to get a solid, comfortable grip -Surprisingly sharp out of the box -Sharpens easily & holds edge well Cons: -Sheath is super loose with no way to adjust tension -Included belt clip feels cheap & brittle -Sheath rivets are spaced strangely, making the knife ride really high when attached to a more sturdy clip. Wound up making a Franken-mount to get it to sit at a comfortable height Summary: Frustrating but fun to tinker with to fine tune to personal preference. It’s perfect for what I need it for but someone else might pull it out of the box & absolutely hate it. Hard to go wrong with the $30 price point though

Fantastic knife.
I really like this knife. Its high quality, sharp and has nice grips. At under 30$ it is very high performance for the money. only negative is the sheath loses its snappy tight retention after some use. Not the end of the world and still recommend this product.

5mm thick blade!!! Great heavyweight knife
I really like this knife. The D2 is thick, heavy and razor sharp out on the box. I measured the blade to be 0.20 inches, 5.08 mm in the middle of the blade. Quite a bit thicker than listed. In this regard, It’s a monster. The 12+ ounces listed is probably correct. I don’t have a scale at home. This is a heavy duty Knife. Flat grind. My blade is ground to a thickness of .038 inch where the edge grind begins. Great grip. I was surprised and pleased at the stone wash finish. Didn’t notice that from the listing. Sheath is excellent. Tight fit, adjustable belt clip. Dark green scales look great and fit my large glove size hands perfectly. If your looking for a medium large heavy knife , you may not find a better deal than this. I couldn’t and the knife exceeds my expectations! This should handle heavy duty use If weight is not a concern. Should be a great chopper and decent slicer. I have two EF D2 folders that I am very pleased with. Hold a razor sharp edge. I was able to reprofile and Re sharpen one using DMT Magna Guide sharpener. It never lost its original edge but I bought the sharpener and... it is sharper than it came which was pretty sharp. The stone wash finish on the fixed on the folders.

Seems to be an excellent Camp Knife. Checks all my boxes.
This is a very nice knife. It was bought for camping and should do well. It's the perfect size. Feels great in the hand. Solid grip, no slipping around. Heavy enough for tough work. Came with a very sharp edge. It locks tight in the kydex sheath, and releases easily with a moderate pull or by pressing your thumb against a convenient push off point at the top. Time will tell how well it holds up. Right now, I'm very pleased.
