Have you experienced any difficulty cooking on top of a full kettle? It looks like it could get top heavy quite easily?

I've never tried it, but I don't think that's what's intended. Cooking with a pot and boiling with the kettle are probably best done as separate operations. The flow of heat through the kettle would be too restricted by anything positioned on top of it in any event. HTH.

This is our Kelly Kettle Scout Basic Kit which includes the 41 oz. Scout Kelly Kettle. The large Cook Set, which includes the 32 oz. Pot - Lid/Frying Pan - Pot Gripper and Grill and it also includes the new improved Pot Support/Kettle Stand.

Can you remove the kettle from the stove base to cook with the frying pan or pot?

Yes, you can remove the kettle from the base and use the Grill accessory or the Hobo Stove accessory on the firebase to cook with. The hobo stove allows you to use an 8-10" frying pan.

What is the outside diameter of the spout measuring both the lip and the neck?

It is 6.6cm diameter from the outside lip to outside lip
