Excellent EDC
The knife is a fantastic EDC for daily tasks. Not too big, not too small and not too heavy. I could use this for any daily task you would need a knife to do. For self defense; sure, it's a knife but it does has limited reach for that task. D2 steel? I have no idea but it takes an edge very well to hair shaving sharp. It did come sharp but I keep my knives razor sharp. Time will tell if edge retention is good but so far it's holding up excellent and I like everything about the knife. It's a solid build and feels that way. I expect it will last a very long time. I wear large mechanic gloves and occasionally XL depending on the gloves. I would say I have average hands and the handle fits well in my hand for light to medium utility tasks. It is not a chopper and it's not intended to be but the spine is certainly thick enough to pound it with a chunk of wood to make kindling if needed. The sheath has good retention and a good locking belt clip. My 1.5 inch belt fits perfectly. The sheath/clip can be changed up to allow for horizontal/vertical carry for both left and right handed users. I have no issues with the sheath which is rare for what I consider an affordable knife. I carry this regularly and it's quickly becoming a favorite EDC. If Eafengrow continues making a quality product at a good price, I will continue to purchase them. Well done...

Best compact EDC at any price .
The days of overpriced knives are over. Many makers of quality knives for under $100 are changing the knife market. Eafengrow is at the top of this list. The expensive brands like TOPS and others, rely on MADE IN USA as justification for the higher prices. It's not WHERE a knife is made, it's about materials and quality control and oversight. It is a world of global competition. My needs for an EDC are many. And I've gone through many knives. Here we have the EAFENGROW 121 The Blade: stone washed D2 came razor sharp. 9/10 Shape and strength : 9/10 Fit and Finish :10/10 Grip Handles: 9/ 10 ( personally prefer micarta) Sheath : 8/10 very versatile hold knife SOLIDLY and silent. Details I wear a medium glove and all 4 fingers fit perfectly. I got lucky all hands will vary. What I have not seen mentioned about the grip panels , are the ergonomics. Each side as an oval indentation. When gripped, tbe tips of my ring and middle fingers fall perfectly into, adding much more purchase. My Index finger perfectly into the choil. Speaking of which, the attention to little things like tbe edge and finish of tbe choil is fantastic. Smoothed, rounded no sharp or uncomfortable edges. Impressive. My thumb naturally falls onto the jimping A word on that. This knife, hands down, has the absolute best jimping of any knife I have ever held. Any knife. Period. I carry the 121 horizontal on my left side in the front for concealable quick access. It is comfortable wearing , sitting g etc. The end of the handle dies .are a slight bump under a shirt but most knives will. On stro g side standard up and down carry, it is snug up against my side and disappears. On deployment, a firm grip , push of the thumb on tbe sheath and pull , tbe knife draws smoothly and the sheath stays FIRMLY in place. Tight. The sheath for all of its come ity and versatility DOES the 2 main things a sheath SHOULD do: Hold tbe knife quietly reliably and safe in place, and STAY IN PLACE WHEN TBE KNIFE IS PULLED. It's your money. If you desire to spend more than is required, that is, of course, your choice. But Boker, Puma, Tops , Busse, etc etc are NOT any better than this knife. In fact, MY Tops equivalent is NOT AS GOOD. At $26, if I lose it or must discard it I'm not out much. Thus knife is incredibly capable. Camping, fishing, baton work, fire starting g , fishing self defense ..it is stout , heavier than most at around 8 ounces , tough as can be and will serve you well no matter what you demand of it. And that is what an everyday knife should be I urge you to check out all the reviews ND tests of this knife and other EAFENGROW knives. I plan on buying others.

Great knife and sheath
I love this knife and the sheath it comes with. It’s durable plastic of some kind and requires no buttons or clasps. Just slide it in and it stays put very well. Super easy one handed use and the blade is solid and easy to sharpen. Holds an edge well enough too. Quickly became my daily user.

Good Quality - I would recommend.
Great knife at a great price. I like the size for EDC. Came sharp and well packaged. I bought 2 of them and will either keep a spare or gift one. I would recommend.

Needs a better belt clip
For the money I feel this is a great knife. I wanted to try stepping into the world of EDCing a fixed blade. I've carried folders for close to 40 years. I didn't want to spend a lot of money in case I decided that I didn't care for carrying a fixed blade. This knife is big enough that you can get a full grip on the handle yet small enough not to be super intimidating to most people that see it. It came in sharp enough to use out of the box and I'm sure with just a little work it could be even sharper. I did enjoy the versatility of the clip that came with it. It does allow you to carry either vertically or horizontally. The sheath offers enough retention that I am not concerned about it falling out yet not so much that drawing it is difficult. My only complaint is the belt clip. Although I like the design I did have a lot of problems keeping it locked closed. I liked the design enough that I spend a few extra dollars on buying the original clip that this is a knock of off. With the addition of the new, name brand clip, I'm sure I will get many years of use out of this.

Great small knife for the price
Works as intended, comes sharp out the box. No damage to the components and they work as they should. Knife sticks well in the sheath and will not have any problems of falling out. Belt clip allows for carrying vertical or horizontal depending on what you prefer.

Solid but too small
Got to wonder who write reviews these days. Even the one star ones don't mention how short the handle is. Only buy if you buy for a kid or you have VERY small hands. Otherwise, the blade comes sharp, the quality is very good for the price and these guys make terrific sheaths.

Great Value, Quality, Size, Aesthetics
This knife really hit a sweet spot for me. It’s not too big, nor too small, especially for average daily tasks and/or concealed carry. You can get a nice four-finger grip on the handle and the blade is plenty big enough for at least 500 different daily tasks. The handle is ergonomically comfortable and the full tang blade is constructed of quality D2 steel. It’s aesthetically pleasing too, and as a bonus, there are some sweet looking red liners between the handle and the steel. The price is fantastic. I’ve paid more for knives that weren’t as good as this. It’s probably the best value of any knife that I have ever bought. Look, big knives feel great in the hand especially while you’re using them, but carrying and concealing them has always been a issue for me. I think small knives are cool too, at least in theory, but I just can’t get used to having only three fingers or less on the handle. It always feels a little weird, at least to me. I suppose it depends on what your intended use is. If you’re going to be out in the field practicing Bushcraft or something along those lines then maybe you’ll want something bigger. Or if you like little itty-bitty knives, or neck knives, then this might not be your thing either. But overall I’m really happy with this knife and can give it my highest recommendation.
