AUDEXEN RGB Third Brake Light, RGB Spare Tire Lights with RF Wireless Remote Controller Compatible with Jeep Wrangler JK JKU 2007-2018

I installed this on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sahara ans came out great. It’s a little snug with the after-market reverse cam but after adjusting the cam height, it fit better. I removed the 3 bolt secure circles for the cam (major pain) and put them back on after the color brake disk was in place so that helps to keep everything together n place when spare is off. I was also able to find a youtube video of this exact item to help with install. Here are a few main takeaways: I fed the wires through the door vent behind the spare instead of through the rubber wire harness which was a more simple option. Just need a feed wire or string to pull it through. The video was just what I needed to match up the wires. Yellow connects to Jeep white and yellow and red to the Jeep white and purple. I’m not sure is this was better or not but I connected this to the wires on the light section of wires after the connection harness as i could access the wires easier which was a pro. The con is that if i ever replace the light, i’ll have to redo the wires so up to you. After removing some wire sheathing, i used a small poker to make a hole through the wires and fed the brake light wires through the hole to wrap around the main wires and used electrical tape to cover well. Not bad at all and you have to use the remote to turn on. Overall, happy with it and only gave 4 stars for install ease as without finding the video, it would have been more difficult.

Had a problem with installation at first. Mounting the light was easy but the wiring was unclear as all the videos I could find only showed lights with 2 wires. This one has three, red, black, and white. With some experimentation, I learned that the white wire is for solid red lighting. The red wire gives all the functions advertised. Apparently in some states, only red brake lighting is allowed. This gives the buyer an option. Use the wire that works for you and cap off the one that doesn't. Now about the light: so many choices! Easy to use the remote to select the mode you like. You can turn it off and on easily and switch between displays.

After installing the light, following the enclosed directions, it did not work correctly. I contacted the seller to see if they had any solution. After a few email exchanges, we both decided I should return it for a full refund. The customer service is excellent. I would definitely buy from them again.

The listing and photos led me to believe this could be wired to the DTR’s and therefore always be on, not just on when the brakes were applied. That is not the case. This is truly just a third brake light. Most importantly, the installation instructions it comes with are crap, and when I reached out to their customer service for better instructions, they sent me the same ones that came in the box. To make things worse, in my attempts to install, the wiring harness to my actual third brake light broke and I had to pay to have that replaced. It’s very delicate, so my advice is to be very gentle with it if you’re trying to install. I ended up returning this POS.

The install instructions are unclear, but it is a great product overall. Quality built, functions all the time, every time and has so many features it's awesome. I'm pretty sure if it had Bluetooth it would be worth even more.

The light is amazing......EXCEPT I can't function the different light patterns due to not receiving a remote in the box. Only brake light function works. Bummer
