Waterfall and filter pump for ponds between 600 to 1200 gallons High stability as a result of extremely flat shape Ideal for use with filtration systems and for creating waterfalls and watercourses; Max flow rate of 600 gph Equipped with easy-to-use click connectors for fast and easy hose connections Ergonomic pump handle for a safe grip and easy transportation Review: Impressed so far - I purchased this 600 GPH pump to replace a burned out 800 GPH pump. This will be my third pump in about 5 years, and I am starting to get frustrated at repeatedly having to spend money on pumps. I have high hopes that this one will last longer than the others that I bought from Lowes and Home Depot. I bought this pump because of the high ratings on desertcart and the price. I would have paid considerably more for a lower quality pump had I bought locally. So far I am impressed with the Laguna. The design is considerably different than my previous pumps and seems to be very effective. I like the fact that it will pump/process debris up to 1/4 inch without clogging. What I am most impressed about is that, although this pump is rated for less GPH than my previous pumps, it is putting a higher volume of water down the waterfall than I am accustomed to seeing. I am having to redesign my small pond though. Previously I had a prefilter to pump to waterfall set-up. Now the Laguna pumps from the pond through a Skippy filter that I made out of a 5 gallon bucket and then on into the waterfall. The water was sparkling clean in less than 24 hours. Here's hoping for many years of service from this Laguna Max-Flo. Review: Filter pump - This is working fine. The old one I sent back to the maker b ecause it was not working, The company was supposed to fix it and send it back to me. I got it back and it worked for only a week and now it is not working again. I wanted to have a stand by in case one of the pumps went out. All of this lack of having a working pump in my pond caused A GREAT DEAL OF muck to accumalate in my pond and caused a lot of work to get it cleared up. Arlene Whitty

Let the good times flow.
This is the best pump that I have bought for my small Koi Pond. I am using it with the Laguna Pressure-Flo 1400 UVC Filter and my pond has never been more clear. The return is connected to a waterfall and there is plenty flow of water to aerate the water. My guess is I am getting around 400 gph with the 2.5 ft. rise from pump to filter connections. Keep in mind that the higher you need to run the hoses the less the volume of water pumped due to back pressure. I am also using 1" ID hose.

Laguna Max-Flow 600 Waterfall Filter Pump
I have a small pond in my back yard near my deck. I built it myself. It holds about 800 Gallons of water. My previous pump quit working after about 5 years, so I looked for a replacement pump. This looks similar to what I had but is a different brand. I liked the way the old one worked and this pump is supposed to handle 600-1200 gallons and the price is right, so I picked it up. When I got the pump and removed it from the packing material, I noticed that this pump's outlet is too small for the 2-inch pipe I already had installed in the pond. I had to fabricate a reducer to allow my hose that feeds the waterfall to be able to connect to this pump. The pump works but is obviously undersized for my application. While my pond size is in the middle of the specs, it appears my waterfall is either too far away from the pump (about 10 feet) or the waterfall itself is too high. It takes about a minute for the water to start flowing when I plug it in, and the amount that actually flows down my waterfall is more a trickle than what I had before. So, it does the job, I like the design, but it is underpowered. I should have spent the money and got a model 900 or 1200 which would probably have given me the results I wanted and would have handled my 2-inch waterfall hose. Since it does work, I am not returning it. I will just live with the underpowered result. I am not one to make someone else pay for my mistake so I would never return an item that does work but is not suitable because of a mistake I made in sizing. As long as it does work, it stays in the pond. The birds still take their baths and get their drinks and that is what is important. If this one wears out prematurely, I would buy the next size up of this brand as I do like the design.

perfect pariring with Laguna Pressure-Flo 700 UVC Filter
Purchased this pump with a Laguna Pressure-Flo 700 UVC Filter about a year ago and they work great together. Clean clear water in my pond... You do need to clean it once every few months and ensure there is good flow.. but I think this is one of the best pumps available.

Stopped Working 49 Days After Installation
Liked the design and specifications of this pump well enough - but after only 49 days of operation, it has ceased working. It was properly installed, at recommended depth using 1" flexible tubing. Over the 49 days, I did two careful cleanings to gently hose away a bit of accumulated muck. The electrical box was and is well-protected, and certainly not at fault here. So I have contacted the third-party seller to see what solution they are willing to offer. Stay tuned... Update: Seller has wiped its hands. Advised me that I must seek resolution from Laguna, and advised me to take the unit apart to try a repair based around the apparently super-sensitive impeller. I don't know about anyone else, but I would not buy a pond motor with an expectation of having to maintain it in this fashion this soon - and however often in an ongoing fashion. FWIW, my recommendation - stay away from this product. Final Update: I removed the pump from the pond and performed the internals maintenance. It was easy enough to remove the pump from the cage and then the cover from the pump to expose the impeller. Removed that and saw only the slightest bit of gunk. I hosed it clean, made sure all was in order, reassembled everything, reinstalled in the pond and restarted it. It stopped again two days later. Exasperated, I pulled the unit up from the bottom and this time, without even unplugging the electric or detaching from the hoses.... I just gave it a WHACK! (American ingenuity at its best :) ) - and it started up again... and it's now been running for about two weeks. I'm NOT left with a lot of optimism for the prospects of the pump working long-term. That's where it's at. 'Hope the recording of my experiences here assists others in making their own decisions regarding this product.

Warranty does cover 1part that always breaks
The most important part is the shaft and pump propeller and they always break. Pump is good but you always think about getting a more powerful one

It has plenty of flow. Just what I wanted.
I replace a pump where the pump housing had an attachment for my filter. The pump housing I received with the pump did not have a filer connection, so I had to use my old housing with the new pump. I hope the housing last. The pump purchased had the same model number as the old one so I thought everything would be the same.

Not all it seems
The pump is good quality but I expected various fittings (fountain, control valve etc.) to be included as shown on the illustrations. This was not the case and I'm very disappointed that only one connector was supplied. I'm not returning it because I need a pump badly, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Stopped working
I purchased this pond pump in August and I noticed today there was water flow at the pond. On investigation i found the pump had a healthy electrical supply but no pump action. I believe the pump has seized and would therefore like it replaced. Thank you .
