Treat it GENTY, and your golden!
Shipping on this order worked out perfectly, no hitches, well packaged. The device itself is not difficult to set, and (If it can receive it in your area), will listen for a national am band signal to set it's time and temperature settings locally. It's suction cup nub is made of plastic that can become brittle when exposed to a lot of UV, and when you first install the device, you have to properly clean the surface you'll stick it to. Screw the base on, to tighten the suction cup, but be very careful not to over tighten it to where the plastic bolt of the suction cup may be under enough tension to snap. The instructions are clear, DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.This display is large enough to read in the shower, even with low light, -and- water on the surface of the clock. The battery cover DOES have a rubber gasket, be careful not to loose it when adding or changing batteries.I as a precaution, hung a plastic bag under the clock for 7 days, just in case my tension was not enough to hold the clock up or it fell off in the middle of a shower. But it never fell off and it's been up for 3 months! This clock is water resistant, not proof. don't let it fall into bath water. If it does fall into bath water, your not going to be shocked. it runs off 1 or 2 AA batteries (i forget) and it can run for a very very long time on just those. It cant hurt to use a rechargeable AA's either, and the number of times you'll look up and be glad it's there will pay for itself over time.If you get one that has a fluttery or dim display, change to another battery, not every battery is properly fully charged even when bought new in a package. If your sure it's not the batteries, check for a Display strength setting, i think i remember it saying it had one. And if it's STILL dim after that, then the carbon rubber strip contacting the LCD GLASS may have come dislodged from banging around in shipment. Contact the seller for a replacement unit. But don't give up on the product. I've done a lot of research, and after trying out the best 12 "feature packed" versions of Shower Clocks, this one is the only one that worked well and lasted the test of "Time" heh. These sorts of devices aren't released often enough. So treat this clock like its precious, and you will be very glad you bought it!

Clock would not automatically sync, too big, hard to read, and just not worth the $
I needed a bathroom clock that was not too big and I thought the automatic time setting would be ideal, so I purchased this one. Big mistake. First of all, it's big. It's about 3-1/2" in diameter, and the depth of the clock (including the suction cup part) is almost 2-1/2". If you're putting it on a mirror like I was, then it looks twice as deep because of the reflection. I wanted something a little non-descript that would blend into the background. This certainly wasn't it - it became a focal point of the room. That wouldn't be so bad if you could also read the time. Yes, the numbers are really big. But it was so dim that I could barely see the time in my bathroom, and there was no way to set a backlight to get a quick look at it. I was not trying to read it in the dark - the lights were on, but it just wasn't enough to easily see. Then there was the setting of time. OMG, what a hassle. I bought this specifically because of the automatic time setting - I liked the concept of the atomic clock automatically syncing with the clock. Mine didn't, and the instructions said it might take overnight to do so. 12 hours later, still not synced up. I tried manually setting it, and it was the most convoluted way of setting a clock I've ever seen. The minutes would set great, but the hour kept bypassing what I wanted, and there was no way on earth I could get the date to ever change. It shouldn't be that hard to program a clock when you're following instructions, and besides, if you bought it for automatic syncing, that kinda defeats the point anyway. I could buy a much smaller clock, with a backlight and/or brighter numbers, that is easier to set, and pay much less $ for it than this one.I did not have any issues with the suction cup, but I did follow the instructions of taking it apart and putting the cup up first, and then re-screwing in the clock. However, it may simply not have been up long enough to have the issues others have had. Also, I was shocked that it did not have a battery. Almost everything on earth comes with a battery these days. If it was a $5 clock, I could see it, but I paid over $20 for it, and I've still got to find a battery? And the battery compartment is held on with 3 microscopic screws that you needed computer screwdrivers to open, so after receiving it I had to wait several days to even try to use it while I tried to find a small enough screwdriver. Not sure why it was secured for armageddon.I can do much better on price and functionality with another clock, and am returning this one.

Very Good
Before I ordered it, I was concerned that it would look "goofy" attached to the mirror. But we like it.I mounted it 3" to 4" below eye level and in between the two sinks. We can see it very well. After installing one AA battery (you'll need a small Phillips screwdriver), I did not have the patience to wait on a radio signal, so I manually set up the time zone, time, year, and date. The instructions made it easy to do this. Then, in the morning it had synchronized with the radio signal and the clock was exact, to the second. Figuring out how to mount the suction cup so when to snug up the clock to it took a bit of trial and error. By no means does it need to be tight. Just rotate the clock until you feel it start to get snug. If the clock display is not level, note where the release tab on the suction cup is and take the clock and suction cup off and start over. When reinstalling, orient the suction cup release tap at one-fourth of a turn from where it used to be then reinstall the clock. Repeat if it still isn't right until the clock display is level. This is not hard to do and you'll never need to do it again.
