I am very pleased with this item. It is high quality, robust build and well designed. It is easy to quickly reposition from portrait to landscape mode for my iPhone; All knobs tighten easily and securely. It is very intuitive to figure out and easy to use. The base fits easily and snuggly into my tripod head clamp which I use for quick release camera plates, both Arca Swiss and Really Right Stuff, and is very stable. Once this is mounted on the tripod at the height you want, all adjustments can be made on the Ulanzi — face phone up or down, side to side. For several years I had been using one of the $5 tripod mount clamps that was a little cumbersome to use and shaky. I really like this Ulanzi ST-14 clamp and think that it is well worth the price.

This is an excellent product with the flexibility to mount any cell phone. Delivery was on-time. This mount is probably overkill for my application but I'm glad that I bought it.

It seems that all the mobile phone tripod mounts are either ultra-cheap plastic or high-end metal with nothing in between. The Ulanzi is definitely on the high end.Extremely solid metal construction, and will fit an iPhone 12 Pro Max with case. I imagine the Ulanzi will fit ANY smartphone currently on the market. Has a cold shoe mount, pull-out stabilizer foot for when set on a flat surface, and an articulating ball head joint that will allow the phone to swivel in any direction. I really like having the stabilizing foot for when I set the phone on a table, and the fully articulating ball head is very nice to have.The lock and knob mechanism to clamp the smartphone is a bit cumbersome, and I wish the Ironman III just came with a simple spring loaded two-knob clamping mechanism. I like that the Ulanzi supports the Arca quick release mounts.Positives* Solid metal construction.* Stabilizer foot.* Cold shoe.* Fully articulating ball head joint.* Fine-tune tightener knobs to secure the phone.* Supports tripod quick release mounting and unmounting (Arca Mount).Negatives* Expensive* Stabilizer foot is detachable and therefore can be lost.So, is it worth $37.99? Depends. Do you lose stuff often? If so, this mount may not be for you. I think a cheaper but still good alternative is the SHINEWEE Metal Phone Tripod Mount, iPhone Tripod Adapter priced at $26.99 ($11 cheaper than the ULANZI). Keep in mind, however, the SHINEWEE doesn't come with a cold shoe.

The standard 1/4" thread let me mount my iPhone to a Bolex gearhead for some digital stop-motion I plan to shoot.Tip of the hat for a functional design that is solidly built - and a bargain, to boot.
