An excellent biography of the apostle Paul you must buy it it’s very good.

Swidoll said very little about Paul's right hand man, Timothy. And very little about those who trained Timothy. I think 2 Timothy 3:14 - 17 refers to Eunice not Paul. I think the references "you can trust those who taught you these things and you have been taught the holy scriptures since your childhood" refer to Eunice & 2Timothy1:5 not Paul. Paul did not know Timothy since his childhood.Paul learned prophetic scrpture at Gameliel School of Theology very pretigiousTimothy learned Prophetic scripture atThe mamma team home school of prophetic scripture. This training made them both very passionate that Jesus is the Christ.Dan

The book is full of insights for life that Swindoll based mostly on Pauls life though not all are. I was hoping for more of a biography of Paul's life than a sermon although the last chapter gave some perspective on that. John Pollock book The Apostle, A Life of Paul is a great book for understanding Pauls life and martyrdom.

Incredibly informative and enjoyable. It is one of my favorite reads of the past year and prompted me to want to read more about Paul's incredible life and accomplishments.

3 things I like:--------------// 1 // In just about every chapter, there are modern-day illustrations to help the reader relate: from Abraham Lincoln's journey to presidency to Timothy McVeigh's last words before execution. It makes the book very 'readable'.// 2 // It is well-researched in terms of the sequence of events in Paul's life. And our attention is brought to what we tend to overlook when we read the Bible. One example is the years between Paul's conversion till he joined Barnabas at Antioch.// 3 // Last but not least, there are pointers at the end of each chapter for applying what one learns.--------------It's a great book for anyone desiring to follow Christ, especially those who are discipling and mentoring others.

You are bound to learn new thing and have a deeper revelation.

Charles Swindoll gives us great research into the life of Paul who was determined at all costs to preach about Christ. Paul's knowledge of the scriptures helped explain how prophecy pointed to Jesus as the Messiah as he wrote in his letters to the various churches established throughout the Roman Empire . Another great book by a great spiritual author.

Excellent bio with Biblical references throughout. This is the second one I have purchased which was a gift for my niece studying Greek and Classics. Praying that she will read about this great life of Paul inspired by God, as a background to her studies.

Amazing book. The story of Paul shows us how to handle adversity and attacks, with wisdom, calmness and faith in God’s providence.
