It's exactly as described and charges faster than the original which stopped working.

After several weeks of constant use so far I've had absolutely no issues. The charger doesn't appear to run too hot and the supply has remained 100% stable. I guess only time will tell if this replacement charger will outlast the original one.

I've been using a beaten up old OEM PSU for a while and when I was given the option to try this cable, I thought it was time to discard the old taped up charger for a new one.This PSU comes well packaged which is a good start. It does feel a little light in the hand - I've seen plenty of teardowns of third party electronics to know that the internals might not be the highest quality.That said, it charges my device just fine. I wouldn't be leaving it to charge overnight or unsupervised in a hurry but while the machine is in use or in the same room I'm happy to leave it to it's thing.Overall for the price I feel this is a decent offering when compared with the official cable, though I still think I'll just get a branded one. Microsoft would be more likely to replace the machine if their own cable killed it!

I'm not sure whether this is my 3rd or 4th charger for this tablet, and this one seems to have a more satisfyingly solid connection into the side of my machine so far. It also is running cooler than usual, so very impressed.

Delighted with charger when first arrived...worked perfectly. However now, less than 3 months later my surface pro battery charging sign not coming on when charger connected however white light on connector showing white light. Cleaned connectors, disconnected lead on charger and reconnected but still same. White light would come on but surface battery charge symbol not coming on and slowly decreasing charge on use. Cant be bothered sending back. Ordered and just received original charger from Microsoft £71. May be cheap but you'll pay dear long term.

Bought this as I left my original charger in the office! Have been using it for a week without any issues. No noise, no interference or any other problems so far. Will be used as a back up once I get my original charger back.
