Elebase USB C Female to USB Male Adapter - This product works but only up to around 44MB/s no matter which way it is attached to the USB C connector and will not do the full speed of my SSD which should be at least 430MB/s. I've attached some test results of a few different brands. I'd suggest getting the Onvian or Electop one instead as they will do the full speed of my SSD if you have it flipped correctly, and will do 44 MB/s if you do not have them attached correctly to the USB C connector.Edit1: After reviewing the description again "480 Mbps" = ~60MB/s and speaking to Elebase it seems this device is only USB 2.0. With that in mind this device I feel performed according to specification but still lower than other devices that are USB 3.0 capable. It seems Elebase has a new USB 3.0 capable one and they have asked me if I would like to try it. If I receive this new design I'll test it and try to update this post again.Edit2: I received the newer USB 3.0 product and did some quick speed tests and it performs just as well as the other brands. Just what I needed. I have quite a few USB-C to USB-C cables that aren't really useful to me - but I need a lot of USB-A (aka USB 3.0/3.1) to USB-C cables. These Elebase USB C Female to USB Male Adapters are just the ticket, turning those unused USB-C cables into USB-C to USB-A cables that work great.On top of that, the fit is firm and the look is very nice with a metallic sheen and look well made.I'm very happy with them so far - I will update them if anything changes.I hope you find this to be a helpful review. Using on a multi USB 3.0 port, on a Macbook Pro 2018 (os Mojave). This adapter is a nightmare. It stops my wifi from connecting to my 2.4Ghz home wifi band. This adapter also tops from my mouse from working correctly. Probably sounds crzy to some ppl, but I've tested it extensively.

The adapters arrived promptly. They feel very solid. The connections are snug.All I have to use it with is a type C hub. The audio on the hub works with the these adapters. The USB ports on the hub work with the these adapters. The video works, the Ethernet connector on the hub with this adapter. I really had intended to order type C male to type A female. My mistake, but I was really pleased with the quality of materials and functionality. I'm happy to have these on hand for future use.I would do business with this company again.

I have an iPhone XS may and I hate the plug that came with it... its slow! so naturally I spent more money to buy quick charging cables in different sizes and a wall plug to make them work. everything was going great, until I decided at 41 to buy an adjustable bed for my master suite. the bed came with 4 usba plugs in the base. well of course now I have to plug my phone there... instead of where its been for the last 2 years. ok great I've got plenty of cords... no I dont. I don have any usba to lightning cables that will reach! but I do have plenty of Usbc cables that will reach, but their plugs aren't compatible. dilemma!!! how can I make this work. ahhh these little babies. u get 2 in the pack and b4 I even received them, I got an email from the company reminding me that they include a 12 month warranty. wow these guys r on the ball, when they get a new customer.I naturally waited for the phone to die b4 I plugged it into my bed. I grabbed my 6 ft Usbc to lightning cable and rolled over in bed and bam power! power that reaches to my nightstand! in case u were wondering it took about 3 hours to charge without the quick charging wall plug that usually does it in 2, but that's still faster then the 4 from the original cables. ahhh no wasted money. I love that. i love it when a product works like the description.so now im taking my other plug into my 2020 Prius. the usba plug in the car is in a strange place, which has kinda made the cable bend in a U shape. its now permanently bent like that and it looks like it will brake soon. hmmm did apple just make a below average cord? it is also hard to jam the usb cable in even when u r not driving, so I was forced to leave the cable there for the last 4 months. well it wouldn't b so bad if I wasn't using 1 of the 2 cup holders for my cell phone holder and the second to store this stupid cord. everyday my boyfriend gets in the car with a drink so I have to move it over so it doesn't get wet. here comes this guy. I yanked that cord out yesterday and replaced it with this guy and stored the plug in the center console... hello 2nd cupholder... welcome back. so now I can easily add the Usbc cable to this tiny thing sticking out easily. so happy!PRICE: I only gave it 4 stars for value of money bc its kind of expensive for something that's so small, but I did rate it 5 bc of how it has saved me from having to buy ANOTHER cord just for my bed.I hope this was helpful.

one thing i've learned the hard way over the years is that when it comes to wired adapters you never know if what you order is going to be well made or junk. with these thankfully it turned out good as they are well made. the fit is tight and secure at both ends. no quality issues whatsoever. as for handling power? i have only used them with a 25W adapter to date but unlike some these don't even get warm to the touch. i mention that as in my initial search i read several reviews on other brands where end users wrote of over-heating issues. again as said no issues with these at all.i wouldn't hesitate to purchases these again if needed.
