GREAT quality 4k cameras and the wired system is better than WiFi.
The media could not be loaded. I would give this Swann product 6 stars if I could. This is a wired system. The 4k video is great. The movement or heat detection is excellent. The sensors pick up objects even before they are even in the camera viewing range.Wired is the most reliable communication for security. The WiFi systems always have that time delay sending the info to your phone app, There is still a time delay on this system because the nvr still has to send the info to your phone app. but it is only a few seconds. Much faster than WiFi.Make sure to get the wired system that has CAT 5 or CAT 6 or Cat 8 PoE cables, not the cable that has the power on a separate cable, the old style , Better video and less clutter on your house than the solar panels and dealing with charging batteries. So far I have had excellent help on the phone with a tech. Helped me with two problems so far. Installing the app on the nvr was a bit of a job and could have been better. The phone app is easy to use with a little practice, very similar to Arlo, and Reolink, but better. My system is the 8580 NVR, and the swnho875wlb 4k cameras. The nvr comes with a wired mouse and the password has to be entered one letter at a time and does not remember it ever, and the mouse is old style, and the nvr program screen could be larger. But this is the hard drive NVR program. Not bad, but once the App was on my phone you almost don't need the nvr, the phone app does most all of the controlling of the cameras and playbacks. Although you can not delete single recorded videos on the app. You can only delete saved recording on the nvr by going to Settings and FORMAT (erase) the entire nvr videos, so be sure to save, and down load the ones you want to keep. Of course the hard drive is 2 Terra bites which is huge and you can go a long time with out needing to do this and the nvr will record over old recordings by default. It is great to have a hard drive and not pay the security company a monthly fee for storage. Although the company's like Arlo wire less are easer to use to store your videos than the nvr for your home, which takes up space and uses electricity. The quality is great on these cameras and the heat detection, night vision and 4K quality. I would buy this Swann brand again. I tried two other brands and sent them back, I will keep this one. This is only my 3rd day and so far it's a keeper.Update 4 days of use. Great system and cameras. I am very impressed with the video quality of the cameras. I can not say enough about the early detection and recording from an alarm. Because the NVR is recording 24-7 The camera is recording before I walk out my front door. So there is not that delay that WiFi has that is not quick to record a moving object. This system catches what needs to be recorded the best.

Broken and still waiting for resolution…
We bought this product for a new build. Installed it in early May, the NVR worked for 1 day. We called Swann support and they walked us through an endless frustrating loop of resets and troubleshooting. A ticket was created to set up a return, we’ve followed all the instructions, returned the NVR and it is Late July with no replacement and no resolution at this point and no offer of refund. We’re told it’s not in stock, that when they get one or find a compatible one they’ll send it. This was a lot of money to spend to have a non-working product and no resolution.

Swann is great but pricey
I've had swann for years. The cameras, I've bought a few times. I have most of them outdoors and live in Arizona so eventually they just go bad. Pretty costly and sometimes I feel like the quality could be better for the price. Sometimes it doesn't catch things. I've been disappointed a few times, but it has caught a lot that Ive needed and will still gladly use them.

Did Not Work At All
NOTE: Had to put a 3 star because I tried a 1 and 2 star and my comments would not post, Yes i did buy this productUpon boot up, went thru set up wizard all 10 cameras did not recognize at all. I figured it needed some time, continued on. Set up finished. I waited and nothing, no camera IP address shown, no camera view.Started my toubleshooting as I work in a similiar technical field And have set up few NVR systems for peoples home.I used original cabling, i used shorter cabling to confirm no voltage drop issues, i can confirm camera boots up and is powered by hiding face plate can see the night vision LED and hear the switching, i thought maybe network (although unlikely) with ethernet, without ethernet, set up my router to let it bypass router firewall.I checked all settings, rechecked, find YT site for swann on set up, the official Swann website doesn't even recognize this model. I opened camera to see if there's a reset, lo and behold 1st NVR camera system i found without a reset.Same for actual NVR no reset? Yes of course i checked ALL menu options, even went online searching.I was convinced its gotta be cameras sinces i see theyre powered over POE. So i opened up my 2 spare brand new camera boxes i had purchased along with this 10 camera system (if you ever had NVR in home overtime the cameras will fail and finding the exact model is hard especially over time). I plugged in, nothing, removed power to NVR (which restarts wizard but retains previous info) nothing, no camera IP address popped up.Remember cover the camera faceplate and night vision kicks in, its still powered. So no loose connection. Now i guess you can say im frustrated, installed 5 of the 10 cameras and decided to test, these places were in high wall of my exterior house, was not easy and now will need to remove and install back my old system.another note, the box i received was not damaged in anyway, it was a bit plain i could say, no identification except barcode stickers with multiple boxes, maybe Amazon warehouse had correct camera boxes but wrong NVR who knows.I can say this. Every NVR system i set up, i never saw one with camera POE ports without the amber and green LED.Conclusion - possible wrong NVR sent but right cameras since the boxing was very generic component boxes inside had barcodes. Who knows. What i can say is the build of the NVR was beyond cheap. No excuse for no amber/green LED for POE ports, no ability to hard reset, rectifier module is in the plug assembly like a laptop not the normal plug in your powered 120V cord like a TV. Swann, i used your system for 8yrs in my own house, im not sure where profit and quality is graded in your company, but i can say your quality systems have declined enormously. Your cameras were superb build quality, now all plastic, even the positioning format is ARCHAIC at best, unscrew a gimble screw to position? Serious?Sorry but this is my fault too, i chose a very well marketed system and saw the price and jumped on it 850.Save your money look for something else - i am.
