OuidadCurl Shaper Out Of Thin ' H Air Volumizing Jelly Oz

After wasting literally thousands of dollars searching for the best products for my hair (fine, wavy, very long, color-treated), I now realize I’d have saved so much money if I’d just started with Ouidad when it came across my radar in the 1990s.I survived the ‘80s, so hair that is crunchy with gel is something I never want to experience again. I have been very impressed with the Ouidad Climate Control Gel and Ouidad Curl Energizing and Refreshing Spray, which define the waves of my fine hair while leaving it soft and touchable. So I decided to give this gel a try too.I’ve only used this once, but I gave it the true test of putting it on freshly washed hair before letting it air dry overnight. It looked and felt so good in the AM that I can’t wait to see the results when I use my blow dryer with diffuser.It’s a false economy to buy cheaper products that don’t do a good job, while continuing to search for other cheap products that will do better. I am a real cheapskate, but I’m happy to pay Ouidad prices for products that work. I’m also making a LOT more space in my beauty closet as I get rid of all the styling products that never really satisfied me anyway. Feels good, man!

Really brings out the wave in my medium weight hair. Lightweight and not sticky. Holds up to humid weather

Smells nice and has okay hold on my 2a waves, but I get much better definition and hold at a fraction of the price from Not Your Mother's products instead.

There's nothing wrong with the product itself, just doesn't work for my fine but wavy hair. Not enough hold, my hair was too soft after application, drying, styling.

My fine 2B, 2C hair has to be TOLD to curl and doesn't need a lot of moisture or heavy gunk but definitely needs something with some brawn to hold the hair. I have tried a LOT of stuff .... a LOT. This is really doing good work to give me a great curl pattern EASILY without a lot of work on my end and gives me good, thicker-seeming texture. I get good clumping so that its not a separated mess of thin curls. Saw an influencer using this and very glad i gave it a try. It may be the best i have used. Working great on fine anglo hair.

I bought this as I have a lot of very fine curly hair with a mixture of curl patterns between 2b-3a. I was super excited to try this but it simply didn't hold my curls. I used it on day 6 of no washing and my hair looks flatter and curls are looser after I showered and used this product than it did before I used it. I like the shampoo and conditioner that are part of this line, but would not recommend the jelly. It's advertised as "zero crunch" but any gel is zero crunch once you wait for it to dry and scrunch the crunch out. All that "zero crunch" apparently means is not being strong enough to form a cast and lock in your curls. The scent is also very strong, but I like the scent so it doesn't bother me so much. If you're very sensitive to perfume and scents it might be overwhelming for you.

Works great on my loose curls. Tames frizz, provides curl definition and adds volume.

Can’t get past the heavily perfumed smell! I’m very sensitive to perfume odors. Lingers for a couple days. Hold is so-so for first day, but after sleeping on it, curl turned into waves. Do not recommend.
