Q: Are the 25 bulbs C7- multi-colored Opaque-5 watt the kind that fits in an indoor vintage christmas tree string of lights pre- 1940's?

No no! My old pre-40s are C6 bulbs/strings and they weren't interchangeable with C7 bulbs/sockets. I finally was able to recreate the tree of my childhood by finding vintage C6 bulbs on eBay. Or you could just buy the C7 socket strings, and sell or donate your C6 strings. That's your best bet I think. If you want to hunt for the older bulbs though, I'd suggest that you don't wait until holiday season - eBay prices can sky-rocket with the increased competition. Of course that would be a good time to list if you wanted to sell your C6 strings :)

Q: Are these made in China? Would be nice to have Country of origin on the product or box.

Sorry I took a while ... the bulbs that I have are from the Novelty Lights Company ... they said that, their products are from China, so you can expect lead paint ... but, Amazon carries a variety of older and newer versions ... I have bought previously, and received American made, also.

I got the multi color pack, it came with 5 of each color. 5 colors, for a total of 25 bulbs. They also offer packs of 25 bulbs in the same color.
