My dashboard is flat but has a textured finish. Will the dashmount suction cup work well on my dashboard?

The only suction cup in the picture is the one attached to the window, however the arm of the mount can be very contorted so if you wanted it to stick to your dash it could... as long as it is not too textured I don't see this mount being a problem. Also the Suction cup has a rather sticky finish so not only is it suctioning, it also stableizes its self with that. If it stops becoming sticky,( it may be dusty) just run it under some warm water and let it dry. I really love this mount. I use it in my car and will also be getting one to have in the kitchen for when I'm cooking. It works really great when looking for recipes or watching netflix😂

The suction cup is very sticky - will it leave a residue on my windshield? Will it continue to suction if I take it on and off frequently?

After 7 years, significant residue. Mine finally broke where the suction cup meets the arm. Whatever the cup is made from kinda melts into a pseudo glue like substance. For context: car has been in south Florida sun and Mississippi sun during that time.
