When the mugs came there is no info that they are not dishwasher or microwave safe. They are gifts and that should be included on the box.

From the vendor I bought mines from on the outside of the box it stated that it wasn't dishwasher and microwave safe. No issues with the cup.

Do the lightsabers change on both sides?

Hey Cathy, Indeed, I can confirm both sides of the mug have lightsabers which light up when in contact with heat. Be weary though! This is not as delightful as it seems. You must keep in mind that the length of the blades is directly proportional to the temperature of the liquid the mug is in contact in. If the substance inside the mug reaches above 140°F (Your average hot chocolate) The blades will, in fact, extend beyond the mug. Obviously this can lead to devastating impacts upon the user, not to mention your silverware. (Dishwashers can reach temperatures of 150-160°F). Also, the constant droning of lightsabers isn't the most pleasant thing to hear in the morning.;)All jokes aside, yes, all the lightsabers light up. The full 360°. Quite brightly too! Would definitely recommend it.
