Very well made aluminum case matches MacBook Pro perfectly
Have only used this for a week, but so far I'm impressed. I can't comment on the battery life but it seems to run a long time, and is easy to recharge. Haven't run the battery fully down. For the record, I purchased this item. It paired with my MacBook Pro quickly. The MacOS couldn't identify the keypad, and asked for a few keys to be pressed. That didn't register with the computer so it gave me the option of just saying "ANSI keyboard", which I selected, and all was well.I turn the unit off when not in use, but if you don't use it for a bit, it goes to sleep. I haven't had any issues with the computer recognizing it when I turn it on or wake it up. Using the program "PCalc" on the laptop makes for effortless numerical input and speeds up data entry. All in all I have had good luck with Macally products, and this one is no exception. If I later find issues I will amend this review; but as of now, at this price-point it is an excellent product, with a brand name I've come to trust, well made and not cheap "junk" like some of the cheapies. Those who posted negative reviews may have gotten bad keypads but mine is not one of them!

Great add-on for laptop
I use 3D software and it has a lot of extra functionality in the numpad. Unfortunately the MacBook Air doesn't have one. I gave this a try and its great. Very easy to connect by Bluetooth, keeps a charge forever (I haven't needed to recharge in the month I've owned it) and the responsiveness is instant. I can grab this along with a bluetooth mouse and have a fully functioning setup for design and 3D.

ATTN: Gamers -- Do Not Buy This Product For Gaming
I have loved Macally's products since the early '90s, and always found their products to be well built. This product is no exception, with one major caveat. This product is NOT suited for gaming, as there are serious issues with the keys timing out, when certain key combinations are pressed. For me, it was the "4" key (forward with my key bindings) that would stop registering, when I held it down, while hitting the "Enter" key (Jump), alternating between "1" and "3" (left and right strafe), and firing with the "5" key.My forward motion would just stop suddenly, in the middle of all of that, until I released the "4" key, then pressed it again. This is obviously not ideal for a gaming setup. My only other complaint about this product, which is not exclusive to this product, is that it sits too low to the table, for my taste.I found my Logitech keyboard to be the same way, and had to put 1/4" risers on the bottom of both products, to bring them up to a more comfortable level for me.I knew I would have to do this going in, so it wasn't a deal breaker for me, but is worth mentioning.I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this for its intended purpose, as an add-on to a smaller keyboard, for entering data, and general typing/navigation.It works beautifully in that capacity. The keys are very responsive, when pressed individually. It's key-chording that they have issues with because this product was apparently not designed with gaming in mind.

Works great!
I had to buy a new iMac and decided I didn't want the extended keyboard as I find it cumbersome. But I do like a keypad for entering numbers so I gave this item a try. It is working great for me. I an easily use my standard Apple keyboard while keeping this keypad on the side of my desk ready to use when I need it. A perfect solution for me!

Starts out great but pooped out quicky
Lasted about 14 months with very light use (maybe 20 times in that period) and then the 7,8,9 keys stopped working. Initial connectivity was good though but not worth the money.

Great product; backspace and delete work fine on Apple MacBook Pro.
I was apprehensive at first because I know sometimes BT devices don't play nice with Apple devices. But I was pleasantly surprised the backspace and delete buttons both work as expected. I do wish there was a tab button but I suppose normal keyboards with 10-key also lack the tab key on the left side. All in all, great product. Fast shipping. Battery lasts long time. Zero complaints.

Charge lasts a long time
This is a well made keyboard. I have had used Mcally keyboards before and have been very pleased with the quality. The one thing I have noticed is how long it holds a charge. Normally I would turn it off when not in use. I forgot to turn if off and didn't use it again for several days. It still had a good charge. It uses a "sleep" function when keys are not pressed for a while. Now I just leave it on. Note, I am not a heavy user (like an account) so your experience may be slightly different. I use it with my laptop that doesn't have a number pad so the size is ideal to carry in my laptop bag.

I'll never buy anymore product from this company
I bought this to give Macally a second shot - the first thing I bought from them was their full sized white keyboard. I had to send it back the next day because some sort of gap near the keypad that made half of the keyboard unusable - on top of there was an obvious short in the cable(bought the wired version). Amazon switched it out for me - but even the second one has issues, the lights don't work to show you have cap lock on(for example). So I decided to give them another shot to see if maybe I got a bad batch. That was a bad decision. The bluetooth keypad is awful, at best. No matter how I type on it - certain numbers input two and three times. The only thing on this that seems to work fine are the arrow keys and the cluster with home/end keys. The actually number cluster just kinda does whatever it wants to do. I essentially bought a paperweight because its legitimately faster for me to slow type numbers on my keyboard row versus using this because I have to redo everything.I will not be buying anything else from this company.
