Aggressively SOAP
If you're one of those people who saw the viral Aleppo soap video, congrats on being one of those who goes beyond "like" and "share" into the realm of "gotta try this".Whatever you think you're expecting from an all natural soap, this is not it. Soaps made for Western markets, even those without extra scents added, are mild scented, soft, and sudsy, meant to be consumed relatively fast. Not this stuff. It's hard as a rock and dense. I expect it to last a good 4 to 6 months even with using it for every day washing as well as for my hair. I might also be able to use it as a hammer in a pinch. The only way I can describe the scent is SOAP. If I search for it, there might be a hint of laurel but otherwise it is undeniably, aggressively, you'll smell clean whether you like it or not, SOAP. With as thoroughly cured as it is, it doesn't lather much, but it does clean well. What I didn't expect was how beautifully silky it felt on my skin. Once rinsed, my hands felt like I used an oil-based lotion. I have hand eczema and this stuff is actually soothing! I'm not ready to call it a miracle, but I didn't feel like I had to dive for the hand lotion after. I'll find out how it works on my hair later (I have high hopes with how moisturizing it is on my skin). It is not pretty, it is not fancy, it smells of nothing but SOAP, but it's great stuff. If I were to spend $15 to $20 on a single bar, I'd say it's worth it. Paying $25 for 3 is a helluva deal. Shipping was estimated at 1 to 2 weeks, it arrived in 4 days.

Not sure what I was expecting
When ppl said you could use this on your hair even though it’s soap, I was extremely skeptical. I’m coming from using shampoo bars which are marketed exactly as that. Shampoo bars. It could be because I have hard water, but when washing, it felt almost stripping. It wasn’t as moisturizing as I was expecting considering how others found it to be moisturizing. I have combo face and an extremely dry body. I have KP as well so I thought this would help. It seems too drying to function well enough to be honest. I’ve only used it once though. I may need to combine it with thick lotion which kind of defeats the purpose of buying such a “specialty” soap. We’ll see anyways. Oh, and the smell is VERY smokey. I dunno what everyone else means by a soap scent, but I’ve never smelled soap like this. It’s almost like I sat by a wood burning fireplace or campfire and took a gust of smoke to the face and body. It’s not overwhelming, but it is very distinctive.

Happy Bathing!
Loving it so far. I only wish I can find Aleppo soap made in Syria and not Turkey, but I guess this is as close as I'm going to get for now from Amzn. Anyhow, this copycat did leave my skin feeling squeaky clean and soft with no sticky or filmy or drying feeling like some commercial soaps do, and it lathers well. As far as the smell, it's nothing fancy. It has the smell of pure clean simple and natural, soap! So don't expect some exotic smell. If your use to soaps with a thousand ingredients covered by some fancy scent than this soap may not be for you. But if you want a soap with very little ingredients and natural as a soap product can get than give it a try like I did, your skin will thank you! Oh! Let me not forget to mention the size. Jesus! they're big! These 3 bars probably will last me 4-6 months, if not longer. They're approx 1.5x larger than the size of my Dr. Bronner's soap bars, so that made the purchase price easier to digest.Happy bathing😊

We like this very much for washing dishes. But too much plastic in packaging.
We use this for washing dishes and our hands in the kitchen. We love it for that. It's green inside, with the outside brownish. Some reviewers say the green means it's not cured enough. I don't know enough about it to make that judgement, but it is Not soft inside. I tried to cut the bar in half, and it's too hard to cut. That's okay; I don't mind that. The reason for only 3 stars is: Too much plastic in the packaging. Each bar is wrapped in thin plastic -- then thicker plastic wraps all three bars together. I hate to give it three stars, but I think more attention has to be on this issue. Perhaps the three bars could be wrapped together with paper? I will look for another kind of bar for the kitchen, but might purchase this again.I think the ingredients may be better for the environment than some other soaps in this category, because this doesn't contain palm oil,. That's the reason I chose it. (Though I'm reading that one can look for the seal of certified sustainable palm oil (CSPO).This Aleppo soap's ingredients are: Olive Oil, Laurel Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Water.

Quality soap!
Update: 4/30/19I SO wished that I had ordered more of this soap as soon as I discovered that I liked it. Now I can’t get it any longer. I will continue to check periodically to see if this seller will sell it again in the future. The number one reason I will buy it again is it cleared up the Keratosis pilaris rash on my upper arms. I had had the rash for over 16 years.Hopefully I can buy it again.Original posting:This soap is SO smooth and creamy, my skin feels moisturized with out that weird heavy feeling that most moisturizing soaps leave.Little to no scent at all, I can’t smell anything on my skin after bathing.Washed my hair with it once and it did well, as my hair felt soft and clean. But, I have fine hair and feel that it was a bit to much for my hair.I will probably use it on my hair every once in a while, just because.Three HUGE bars, individually wrapped.Great value for the money.

DON'T HESITATE, ORDER IT!!
I ordered this back in September. Arrived as scheduled and that night I had the best shower in a LONG time. There are NO aromas, flavors, or scents to this soap, just a nice clean smell. It's a huge bar of soap. I have fairly large hands, and I had trouble handling it, so I got my hobby saw and split it in half. Perfect. It lathers nicely, rinses off very well, and makes your skin feel great. I have dry skin problem on my legs, and after several days, my scaly skin went away, leaving nice soft skin. Use one of those shower scrubbies and the lather lasts longer. I wash my whole body with the soap, even my hair and doesn't leave it oily like you might think, it having olive oil in it. Rinse it well, and it really works.
