When I was buying two torches at one time I thought they would be the same. They are not the same I was disappointed. It does flame up even after you hold it right side up after a minute.

The torch fails to ignite after after a couple of uses. It is too late for me to return it now. I waited too long to start using them after it was delivered. I hope this review helps the next buyer.

This style of torch is CLEARLY better and SAFER than other designs, because: 1.) the metal butane bottles are designed to keep gas contained for decades2.) The length and thickness of metal barrel keeps plastic portions cool 😎3.) The top detaches from butane cans for safe storage.The focused blue flame is thick and excellent, and the gas control knob easy to adjust. This torch can shoot 🔥🔥🔥from centimeter up to 1 meter!Read directions first and start with the gas control knob turned all the way to the right. For home cooking, a dozen cans of butane are enough to cook crème brûlée for over a decade! 😃The metal barrel is durable and ignitor has a longer life compared to other torches._______________________________________The unregulated gas station torches have plastic butane chambers that inherently leak gas, and refilling or overfilling to equal pressure of metal butane cans leads to plastic butane chamber fissures. Also, the one piece torches metal portions are too close to their plastic parts, leading to melting, fire hazards and are explosive!Again, this style torch is better and FAR SAFER THAN OTHER DESIGNS!
