These cameras are NOT Vandalproof. There is no allen head screw or fastener which locks down the outer bezel to the base, hence keeping it from being un-threaded and removed. I have also noticed some horizontal lines in the night vision viewing images. I purchased 6 of these dome cameras and have added 4 of them (so far) to a new Samsung SDH-C5100 system. The samsung cameras out perform these dome cameras at night, yet for the price of these units, I do believe they offer some value. The key will be experiencing their performance as time passes.I contacted Amazon customer service because of the misleading advertisement and the horizontal lines and they refunded me 50% of my purchase price; I believe that is worthy of accepting a sub-standard misleading advertisement. Let's hope value meets price.

I am completely satisfied with the quality of this camera as far as construction and image quality. Night time with the IR blasters is also great. There are lots of settings available via the in camera menu but I am not sure what a lot of those options are. If the seller or manufacturer can provide instructions I would add the 5th star. I made some changes through the menu last night and the night image was great but this morning the daytime image is completely over exposed. I can set things back to the way they were but u would stil like more info please. Out of the box the daytime image was perfect but I am trying to take advantage of all of the menu features.

Excellent performance in all lighting conditions. Quality build, heavy, solid housing. Versatile aiming on 3 axis, 2.8-12mm varifocal makes for great aiming. Resolution and color are great on my AHD DVR (make sure your DVR supports AHD, otherwise this won't work). HD picture using analog video cable, very convenient for retrofits. Docked one star for difficult wall/ceiling mounting (no stencil included, wire is in weird position), and IT'S HUGE! Cosmetically, it looks a bit dated as well. Otherwise, nice camera, VERY nice for the price, and one of the only HD varifocals I was able to find in this price range. Definitely a good pick for the right application.

The camera works well but after purchasing I found that you have to disassemble the case to make adjustments to the Vari-Focal lens and to adjust the focus. Very inconvenient since the cameras are mounted high so a ladder is required to reach them. I have since found cameras that have external adjustment points for these purposes. They may be less secure to tampering but far easier and safer to adjust from a ladder.

So far so good. Nice day and night vision. Ordered another camera. Looks like some other cameras on Amazon. This camera is about 20.00 more than those. I am hoping these are not the same for more money.Well, bought a second camera. This one seems to be having a hard time switching from day to night in a completely dark room. Will test more. Seems to be working since I adjusted to a wider focus.These cameras seem to have a bit of a spotlight effect. Probably good if you use the varifocal lens set at longer view.These cameras might be like the 39.00 cameras on Amazon after all.

Some DVRs provided by other companies have a limited range of selection." I hooked these up to 4 different dvrs. They do not work on any of them. I tried Lorex (2 different types) a Zmodo and a off brand. None worked. There are many types of formats for dvr, but there are like 4 common ones. these are none of the common ones.

Item arrived doa, sometimes would click and leds lit, other times did nothing. Instructions are in extremely poor/broken English. I can't attest to actual quality of picture or operation because it never did anything.

Good picture although not as clear as the Samsung cameras. Night vision is good, makes am audible click when switching but not bad.
