Flavours of Calicut - Jaggery Coated Banana Chips - 1 kg (Pack of 2 x 500g)

Chips supplied to us seemed to be of Fresh Stock as we had ordered them just before Onam 2022..Coconut Oil seems to have been used for frying these Sarkara Varatti as mentioned in the Package. Most of the Chips sold are fried in Vegetable Oil [Palm Oil] and hence we selected this item.Pepper taste is dominant in these Jaggery Coated Banana Chips even though Pepper is not mentioned as an ingredient in the Package. Try to reduce Pepper if it is not avoidable.Cardamom and Dry Ginger [other ingredients] are not dominant in the Chips supplied to us.Try to use Organic Jaggery if possible.Placed order for 1 kg (Pack of 2 x 500g); but got a single Pack of 1 kg. Please avoid sending 1 Kg. in a single Pack as the transparent see through plastic was torn.

Very nice productI studied in Kozhikode, so it actually brings back memories of the city.Have been buying this ever since the lockdown started. Love the way it is packaged. The product is usually fresh, and the packaging keeps it that way, even in a coastal place like Mumbai.

Bitter in taste!! Very disappointed!!!! Tried Jaggery coated banana chips from other suppliers and they tasted yummy!!! But they did not have 1kg pack so I brought this blindly thinking it will taste like that but was fully disappointed!! Completely different taste!!! Couldn't enjoy the sweetness of jaggery combined with ginger.. instead it was biterness of may be banana and spiciness of ginger and bananas also were dry and hollow!

I usually buy this from local vendors. Tried this vendor for the first time and am pleased. Thank you.

Only one word...Yummm

Purchased the Jaggery Coated Banana Chips to find that it was stale and bitter in taste. Sadly unedible.
