I ordered this book for a sculpture class, even though I did not use the book much in the class it will be used a lot in my future sculpting efforts. The size is great portability.

This is an extensive little book and, at first glance, looks like an almost complete copy of Gray's anatomy. the different vessels, organs, bones and connective tissue are very well portrayed with G.A.'s accuracy, but alas there is little to inspire the artist. No form, dynamics, or artistic beauty, just a scientific portrayal of the above. It was a disappinting buy, and if you are looking for a guide to the gateway of inspirational human form, this is not the book for you. It's a bit of a red herring because I'm sure there are much better anatomy books on the market, and there is no doubt at all that there are better art guides also. There has to be a balance between accuracy, (this book has plenty of that) and artistic inspiration, which this book just doesn't have. That feeling of aesthetic pleasure with an intimate glow when one looks at beautifl objects is entirely missing.

It's OK but a bit too small to be really useful.Apart from the small print and illustrations, the hardback binding on such a small book means you can't keep the book open flat.I should have checked the dimensions properly.Also, the diagram captions on many of the illustrations have arrows/lines that add to the clutter and lack of readability.If this was about 3 or 4 times the size maybe this wouldn't be such an issue.

Really good to take about with you if you want and need to.
