Why did i wait so long
I was reluctant to try this, as its expensive, once I got past the first try, i liked it. I couldn't imagine having water pumped through my sinus, how ever once you take the plunge I'm very happy I bought this. I have chronic sinus problems, stuffiness nasal congestion. I find it's best to use at least twice a day. I'm amazed on how much mucus and snot you wash out with each use. It feels good to rinse the sinus. I last longer with out nasal sprays after i use it. It will not work with out a salt pod in it , so you cannot dry run it. Pod has to be in place for it to engage. If you try it with out the pod you will think it doesn't work or stopped working. It's set up to work with their pod in it. That's fine with me. I rinsed it out, tried it for a couple days, before I ordered more salt pods, I just did one rinse tonight I'll do another in a while. Works great cleaning out sinuses. Salt pods work, feel just fine. I found it also helps you get over a cold quicker, flushing the mucus out. Mine usually lingers, Not this time. Rinsing with Navage helped greatly. I now enjoy the rinse. I have a deviated septum. I read people saying it will not work with the Deviated Septum.. so that means for me my nasal passage is smaller on my left side. So I physically adjust the nozzels while I'm holding it in action, if its going slow, it means the passage is not straight, I wiggle it and or align it while in progress of rinsing. so for me it works fine with my deviated septum. If you have a clogged sinus, clear it first with meds or spray, Once you reduced sinus swelling, the unit works better it needs a clear passage. I will continue to use it twice a day it gives me relief. It's easier to take care of your sinuses using this machine in my opinion. I am not a Dr or medical person. I'm just a customer. yes it feel good to wash the snot out and see what is floating in the tank, you'll be surprised what you wash out regularly. Try it out it may help you. If not you can always return it under 30 days I believe. Also I read here it takes one cup of water, that is correct. I fill a measuring cup to the line one cup, then I let it sit on the counter to warm up and I microwave the water for 11 seconds, so its not cold in the sinus. I wish I would have bough this sooner, sure does help flushing the sinuses. Once you use it a couple times you'll find it very easy to use and clean. I use filtered water that takes the Chlorine and chemicals out of the tap water.

Freak'n Awesome. I can finally breath.
Amazing - life saver to sleep at night and not wake up with horrible running nose. I can't believe I've suffered for so long without something like this. I've been using and testing for several weeks now. Absolutely works for me. For over 10 years I've been suffering with half my nasal cavity (one side) being totally blocked every night. I've had to breath out of my mouth when I sleep and every morning spend at least 10min of really bad runny nose, nasal drip, and profuse blowing of my nose. I've been using once in the morning and once in the evening before bed. At first use, both my nasal cavities opened up 100% and I've forgotten how it feels to breath fully. Be advised: it took me a couple of tries to get a hang of the process - keeping pressure on upper pallet to keep the saline running into your throat, breathing while the process is running. I had gagging and had to spit out the saline from my mouth a couple of times until I figured it out. Keep at it, for me it took time and patience before I figured it out on my 4th try. Now I can set up, run the process, and clean up within just about 3 min. And now it's quick and no discomfort. Be sure to use warm water. Breathing 100% both nostrils at night with so much better sleep. Almost zero running nose and blowing in the morning before I run it again. Then rest of the day is pretty much minimal congestion and runny nose. I've found this will not prevent/fix inflammation due to eating GMO wheat and gluten. Most of inflammation comes from synthetic USA wheat which this will not fix. When I eat gluten I still get inflammation which as we should know presents most in our mucus membranes - ears, nose, throat. So unless I'm in Canada or Europe, I refrain from what and flour, use Navage and I'm breathing 100% with no issues. Construction and design is really good. Only concern is that the blue plastic fill tank and catch tank are very thin plastic. Be careful not to drop because I'm sure they would shatter. Overall - amazing.

Essential to some to stay healthy from airborne infections
Who knew, that for some people (like my husband), nose irrigation is more than helpful! I have clear pathways, so I’m speaking for him. He’s broken the nose in sports, has deviated septum, plus what our doctor called a lazy vocal cord, likely from spinal injuries. Point is, all this, despite being a vigor and healthy young man with healthy lifestyle, helps to lower his immunity to get sick easily. Come the Navage. Tried other nose irrigation, did not like using so didn’t use as often as should. Navage makes it easy enough to make it a regular maintenance. Especially helpful when traveling or exposed to crowds/bug/viruses. Lowers his exposure by removing airborne bugs/viruses without having to avoid social gatherings or crowds. We first ordered it when he caught a cold (Thank you, Amazon Prime! 🙌). His nose was so plugged the Navage couldn’t pass through. But after a couple of sauna sessions (which helped to loosen the mucus) and a couple more persistent tries with the Navage, water came in one nostril and out the other, signaling clearing of mucus. Now he Navage weekly towards end of showers (looser mucus = easier flow), and especially after saunas, travels, exposure, or slightest feeling of bug coming on. He favors their eucalyptus pods. No irritation at all for him. Biggest gripe is the battery. Requires monthly replacement. We use rechargeable batteries so it’s not too stupid, but why don’t they make this unit rechargeable itself?? What a hassle. The (addition) stand is helpful, necessary to air out = avoid mildew, but skip it if you already have a preferred drying rack. Theirs is flimsy and requires both strategic Tetris skills and Jenga patience 🤨

No question in my mind - a very helpful medical device
I've waited for a year to write this review because I wanted to see how it would affect my nose and hold up as a product over time. Reviews written soon after purchase simply don't have the history needed to decide it it's a good investment. Since this item is a bit pricey and changes your lifestyle it seemed fairer and more effective to give it some time before reviewing. The Navage rinses your nose with 8 ounces of saline at at time. The principle is clever - it pumps the saline in one nostril and sucks it out the other, making a complete circuit around your nasal septum (the barrier that divides one nasal passage from the other). By taking this approach you saline fills the passages and is removed without leaking or splashing all over the place. It's much, much less messy than a neti pot or the SinuPulse Elite Advanced Nasal Sinus Irrigation system. You can also take a look at the used saline to determine whether you're actually doing anything with the irrigation, which is psychologically helpful if nothing else. From a physical product perspective I would give it 4 stars. The one real problem that they could easily fix is that the battery compartment in the bottom of the machine doesn't have a rubber gasket. This means that if saline splashes or you set it down on a wet surface water or saline can leak into the battery compartment. I bet that this happened with my first machine which simply stopped working after three months. The company was very good about replacing it, but it wasted a lot of saline trying different batteries, rinsing to rule out salt build-up on the switches, etc. Otherwise the machine has been holding out well thus far. That's all very well, but how does it work? I believe that the Navage folks have hit upon really hit on something here. The biggest difference between the Navage and SinuPulse Elite is that Navage delivers a broad stream of saline at a relatively low velocity, while the SinuPlus does the opposite (and makes a mess in the process). The SinuPlus is like using a Waterpik on your nose - in fact that's essentially what it is. By using a broad stream of saline with a lower velocity, the Navage does a good job of rinsing the whole nasal passage every time you use it. Presumably it's washing away dust, pollen, and other allergens in the process, which should lead to less immune system reaction and swelling of the mucosa. Moreover, it seems to work in practice. Combined with using Breath Right nasal strips at night, I've been sleeping and breathing better than I have in years. My wife believes that I'm snoring much less than previously directly as a result of the Navage. I'm not in a position to confirm this, of course, but she's a pretty reliable witness. One thing that's useful to know is that it's definitely true that you may have to position the inflow and outflow very specifically. For reasons that I'd like to know, I can get saline flowing into one side of my nose but not the other. As a result I always have to position the inflow prong on the "good" side, and the outflow on the other side. Try it both ways and see if this is the case for you. Good luck!

Time consuming, inconvenient clean up. Not friendly to wallet or environment.
READ BETWEEN THE LINES: "operates exclusively with genuine Naväge SaltPod capsules to provide a soothing, refreshing, perfectly-balanced saline rinse every time. Our patented system eliminates the measuring and the mess." This does NOT let the buyer know that the machine will ONLY work if you purchase the pods. However, once you receive the unit you see that information is prominently featured via a sticker on that machine that reads "No Salt Pod, No Power!" SURPRISE! If you do not want to purchase the expensive & bulky salt pods, this machine will not work. If you want to make your own salt water, this machine will not work. If you open the lid where the pod it, the machine will stop working & the only way to get it to work is by inserting a new pod. That also means you can not run a cleaning cycle on this machine. You can't run soap & water through it. You can't run vinegar & water through it. AVAILABILITY: The Pods are not available at your local drug store. Sometimes they are available via PRIME and sometimes, not. COST & THE ENVIRONMENT: Per Navage USA Customer Support, when purchased in quantity discounts, one-a-day costs about $2.31/week, less than $10/month. However many people with allergies & chronic sinusitis rinse 2-3 times/day! I see on this site Navage offers 90 salt pods for approx. $40 and 30 salt pods for $15. Do that math on what that's going to cost you for regular year-round use if you have allergies & chronic sinusitis. AND... you've gotta store these things. And they're more plastic for recycling - NOT environmentally friendly. Given that these pods come out of a factory - you should be wiping them down with an alcohol pad before you insert them so you're not snorting who-knows-what. YOUR WATER: You've got to use distilled or boiled water. Fine. But it should be warm. So now you have to heat it up in a different container. If you are using this machine to help with sinus infections, you've got to mix in your liquid steroid and prescription medication in that different container then transfer all to the Navage. And clean up/sterilize your first container. Once you close the lid and break the salt pod, you have to mix BUT you have to be super careful because water/solution leaks out the top front of the unit when you swirl. The tank on top of Navage that holds your rinse solution is not a closed container so you can't heat the water in the container & you can't mix your solution in the container. CLEAN UP: You can't run a cleaning cycle. The top green tank, it's awkward, you can rinse it or submerge it in a sink of hot soapy water or vinegar water. You can't put cleaning solution in there and shake it around because of the 2 openings. Not a fan of the super small end/narrow end of the tank. The bottom tank you can put cleaning solution on & put your hand over the 1 opening & shake & rinse. However, I haven't managed to get that tank off the unit without getting that dirty sinus water all over. It's awkward. Also the battery is on top of this tank. Read the reviews, if you get the battery compartment wet, you're done for. The lid at the very top of the machine has to be rinsed before and after use because the pods can cause a salt build up - this doesn't happen with salt packets or when you make your own salt water. You're not supposed to get the main, white body wet, but how do you get the salt solution off of it? How do you get your medicated solution off of it? Both nasal pillows have to come off for cleaning after each use as does the little nasal port and when you take that off... water comes out of the machine. Great idea, very poorly executed. Clean up is IMO, a nightmare especially since I rinse more than once a day, every day. It takes more time to prep & clean this machine than it's worth. And, you don't build brand loyalty by locking consumers into buying salt pods or the machine won't work. Right?

flushes sinuses well
takes some getting used to in order to keep it in the sinus cavity but once you do its great to clear out any pollen or allergens in there and help you breathe better
