THIS BOOK CHANGED MY LIFE
I found this book by happenstance when browsing on Amazon looking for a new book which would help me heal of over a decade of severed recurring depressive episodes. Little did I know that this book would change the course of my life literally. So well written and so full of compassion and understanding for what had been the most difficult Challenge of my life. I had found in this book, not only a method to help me here, but also agreed source of comfort and support. The Method it introduces is basically EFT emotional freedom technique. I wasn’t really familiar with this method and started right away applying it. I noticed Significant changes from the get-go. This book naturally led me to the work of Nick and Jessica Ortners and I became a total addict of their Tapping Solution app Which again brought so much healing. Then the work of the Ortners Brought me to Robert Gene Smith method called faster EFT, which helped me really tackle the core of my issues and unroot them. It’s been almost 3 years since I picked up this book and I haven’t had a severe depressive episode in a very long time, I have lost weight, I sleep through the night, I no longer have recurring nightmares and better overall daily experience of my life. I am forever grateful to Amy ❤️

You will feel understood and supported...and empowered after reading this book!
To know Amy is a true gift. She is probably one of the most genuine and compassionate 'healers' you will ever encounter. Her work is simple to understand and apply but profound in results. What a different life I would be living had I found her sooner. This latest book helped me to see the facts of situations, and to not feel flawed. Instead her words and explanations helped me to feel hope and empowered that things could improve. And they have! I've followed many energy healers and applied so many techniques over the past decade. Amy's work cuts to the chase and her techniques are fast and simple and offer profound results. I would have never labeled myself as 'depressed' as I always categorized myself as having an anxiety disorder. This book unravels my misconceptions bringing so much clarity on the fine line between depression and anxiety, yet how intertwined they are. I feel better about myself, more understood, less flawed...just from having read the book. Add to that her fast and effective techniques to clear energy, I am simply not the same person I was before ordering the book. Thank you so much Amy for your courage to be determined to find healing for yourself but to continue to be honest through your ongoing work that "life happens" and that there is always something to handle or heal. This book is the handbook for living free. Thank you!

"The Ruby Slippers"
Since first discovering Amy's work, I have been mesmerized. From the moment I picked up "This is How I Save My Life," I felt the magic unleash in Amy's raw, funny, at times harrowing, honest story. Her willingness to offer up her very self as a vessel for others would be a generous tale, but for the practical, 'easy to implement' tools that make it pure gold. "How to Heal yourself from Depression" is no exception. Amy's writing seems to offer us a special comfort as it brings a non-judgmental, breezy, relatable, optimistic outlook on our own recovery. While in the driver's seat of your own healing, it is as if Amy is right there with you, encouraging you, & believing in you. For those feeling like they can't even get out of bed some days, much less read a whole self-help book, pg. 56 offers you a light in the dark with "Helpful Checklists" that are doable. This book is full of helpful graphics, clear instructions, and the revelation that anyone can practice these techniques, from anywhere, with just a few minutes each day, and realize profound results. For the skeptics, or those unfamiliar with energy healing, "How to Heal Yourself from Depression" offers up some science, and a peek behind the curtain of what otherwise might be dismissed as hocus pocus. Call it what you like, as a licensed therapist, I am genuinely excited to have discovered this vital element in whole person healing.

You are not alone
I first found Amy through her book "How to Heal Yourself When No One Else Can". I didn't think I would need to get the newer books on anxiety, and now on depression, but after this year I now have them all. Sometimes i feel soothed just to be reading them because of how relatable they are. It's reassuring to know that she writes about things that she has gone through herself. She brings up some very important points about depression, especially around particular emotions that are a big part of it.I had been exposed to EFT before, and some different forms of it, but would use it for a bit, then it would fall by the wayside. However, Amy's perspective and her other techniques added to the mix has made it much more useful to me, and this year it has been life saving for me.

Overwhelming
Reading all the positive reviews before buying, I was hopeful this book would be "it" on my self improvement journey....I started reading it two months ago and am only on page 118. It is overwhelming with all the tapping exercises and extensive self talk "statements" taught in her book that you have to repeatedly do daily. To me, it just seems complicated and very overwhelming....especially if you have an illness or are severly depressed.Unless you are willing to put "alot" of time into these healing techniques, you might want to read or listen to something that inspires you and lifts you up instead. This book I will be putting away for now.
