I have used this book for years,I do a scavenger hunt every Thanksgiving, because i m a vegetarian and don't celebrate..So this gives us something to look forward to. Review: Not just for kids! - Full grown woman here! I love this book! I've been using it to make collages incorporating found objects. I'm getting a lot out of this as an adult by using it as a prompt/exercise book. I'm also having fun with the scavenging process! I sliced off the bottom portion of the book using a straight edge and an Xacto, so the prompts would be easier to flip through. I noticed when first gathering items, that they acted like bookmarks, giving me the same prompts over and over as I "randomly" flipped to a page. This also means I'll have a little flipbook of prompts, even when I'm done (it also means I need to renumber the pages so I can use the table of contents to find where each item goes! Lol!)

Acceptable form of hoarding
This book is perfect for your inner goblin. Like collecting little scraps of things because you see the beauty and potential each piece holds? This is the book for you! I keep an envelope in the back to put small things in until I have time to sit down and actually create things with them based on the prompts. It’s helpful to snap a photo of the scavenger hunt list in the back to check if your interesting finds meet any of the criteria for a collection page. Other than that, I suggest you share this experience with a fellow goblin to make it more fun as you share your finds and alterations.

I love it!
This book is great, i got it cause i was bored but wanted something creative to do. I’ve been scavenging as much as possible and some of the things are quite hard to find. The book came in perfect condition and theres also cute things to do with your found items to give it more creativity.

It's like a scrapbook for ordinary stuff
I bought this book for myself since I had heard about Keri Smith's other books. This book has me actively searching for things that each page says I should keep an eye out to add to it. It's like a scrapbook, but for things you wouldn't normally pay attention to. It also lets you draw in it & in general use every page front to back. It's a fun project book that will take a while to fully "flesh out".

The Pocket Scavenger is a big hit
Bought this book for my 8 year old daughter. She has not put it down since she got it. It is a thick, sturdy, waterproof book that allows you find and collect over 100 items. My daughter has been gluing the items to the inside pages. There is a space on each page to write where you found the item, and you can include a story about the item and how you found it. When you turn the book upside down, you will see a new activity on the bottom of each page. It usually involves drawing a picture using the item you found. For example one page asks you to add legs to the used envelope you found. Another tells you to use your fingers and smudge something over a used post it note. This book is written by the same author as Wreck this Journal. The scavenger book is not as daring and reckless, but it has some resemblances and is a great addition for kids of ALL ages.

Great Present for Grandmas!
Bought for my grandmother who is retired and living alone with her dogs. She has told me countless times that she has completed another page or added to one from things she found walking the dogs. This book also inspired her to start writing daily in a journal, as she started writing about her walks in this book. She loves it and so do I.

If like me, you like to take long walks and look at all the treasuries left by others, if like me, you like to collect things natural and man-made that are altered by time or if, like me, you are a mixed-media artist, this book is for you! I can't tell you how much fun I had (and still have) picking all kind of objects, gluing them to my book and altering them the way it is asked to. This book can be used by age 5 to 108. On each page, you have to find something around you that will fit the description (something from a tree, 5 blue things, one round thing etc) then you have to alter what you have glued by picking randomly one of the alteration that is printed upside down on each page. I would recommend this book for anyone who would like to find new ways of creation, for those who simply want to have some fun with altered objects or even for those who are stucked in their creative process. It's not my first Keri Smith book and it will not be the last! :o)

Consigliatissimo.

Love this. I always find it hard to think of activities to do with my kids or how to plan them out. This is perfect to get you and the family together and do things that don't require being glued to a screen.
