For the price point, the quality is hard to believe. This is a genuine, stainless steel machete with cord grip and sheath. It is sharp at the point and along the belly, and the sawback spine is heavy duty and also quite sharp.I bought this for a Halloween costume, since it is only marginally more expensive than a fake, plastic machete, but now I’m pretty sure I need to plan an excursion to the Amazon.

Very sharp and go for chopping down things, only complaint was that after a few times of using this machine the handle unraveled other than that I like this product.

Excellent Machete,it seems to be made well and has good weight to it!! I like the sheath,it looks to be of decent quality!! The handle and overall construction seems to be really good and thoes are the Pros!! Now for the Cons,the only thing that Im not too Impressed with is the Zipper on the top of the Sheath,It seems like kind of a silly place to put a Zipper?? But as I looked the sheath over and teasted it out,I found that it had 2 retention systems!! One at the handle has a snap,and the sheath has the zipper!! I was carrying it to my R.V. via the installed strap,and I didnt have the handle snap engadged and the Mechete didnt fall out of the sheath!! So as for not liking the zipper thing,I now understand why it was put there!!! Overall im Impreseed with the Product,its well worth the small amount of money that I paid for it and Im thinking that you will too??

I love this machete. And the flat black makes it have an even more bad ass look to it. But don't be fooled it's not all about looks. The other day I had it sitting on my bed and I put my hand down on the matress to push myself off to get up and I forgot that the machete was underneath my finger and even though I just barely touched it, what felt like a paper cut, did not stop bleeding for about ²0 minutes. It's definitely not a toy!!!! Keep out of reach of children

This item is sharp out of the box and the serrated edge good for sawing down small growth. It is durable and versatile.

The sheath was destroyed with regular use in one summers time, the rope handle is murder on the hands, I just wrapped it with electrical tape and it's good to go. It's the only machete I've ever owned so I can't speak from experience, but im happy with it. I call it my "machete shaped hatchet" because it cuts firewood better than it cuts brush. I take it out to widen overgrown trails and it does it's job, it bends and chips on the occasional rock if you swing too low. I don't think regular branches and trees have done any real damage.

The machete was amazingly sharp straight out of the box so be careful!The only con was that the carrying belt was a little too short.I would definitely purchase again.
