Fragile World

I ordered several coloring books and this was one of two that were head and shoulders above the rest. Each illustration is unique and there is a great variety but also a consistent high-quality style throughout. The paper is really heavy. I want to buy another copy!

The media could not be loaded.  This book has gorgeous drawings. Very detailed and room for much creativity. Just note that the paper is not watercolor paper. Even though I use watercolor pencils, I activate them with a clear water-based marker and everything blends perfectly and the pages don't bleed through. I did try watercolor markers and they didn't bleed through, except when I added a bit of water. From experience, they do NOT blend well in this paper, not even with a waterbased clear marker. If you use colored pencils, crayons and other similar mediums, you won't have any issues painting here. Hope this helps.

Very happy with my used book purchase, nobody has even colored in it yet!! The cover is even in great condition!!! Wasn’t expecting it to be in this good of shape… been wanting this book for a while!

I was very impressed with this book... Very sturdy and crazy good art to color. Only thing would make it better would be if it was spiral-bound You will love it !

I love to draw, paint, color, knit and crochet. The quality of this book is great. Very detailed and worth the price. This is one of several books I have by this author. All are well worth the price and have interesting and true to life pictures.The drawing skills are incredible!These are truly wonderfully drawn for coloring.

The artwork is just beautiful and so much fun to color. But as other reviews have mentioned, the areas to be colored go right up and into the fold, which makes it difficult to color, and in the case of the pictures that take up two pages some of the drawing is lost altogether.

I am still relatively new to adult coloring. For my Birthday I received this book Fragile World and another Kerby Rosanes coloring book, Worlds within Worlds. Amazing! The artwork is so nice that it took me a few weeks to get my courage up because I didn't want to spoil any of the super detailed pictures. The paper is nice and thick. It's easy to put several layers of wax based (Black Widow & Prismacolor) or oil based ( Castle Arts Gold) colored pencils and not have bleed through or indentation on the other side. Which is a really good thing considering there are drawings on both sides of the pages. And that's my only gripe about this coloring book. I highly recommend this book for any colorist who enjoys detailed and somewhat whimsical pictures to color. I will be purchasing another copy.

I am in love with this book.It contains realistic animal drawings and each images corresponds with how the animal ecosystem cohabitates.It has a mixture of double and single pages for colouring. The book size and paper quality are the same as Worlds within Worlds.

The pictures are stunning which is why I chose this book. Unfortunately unlike some of the colouring books I've tried the pages aren't blank between drawings meaning that I cant use my alcohol based markers. I purchased this colouring book as a way of practicing blending and shading techniques with my markers. Unfortunately I can't use coloured pencils to a standard I would like because of an old wrist injury meaning I have to chose between images on front or back. I also wish the pages sat flatter.

I feel a bit conned by this book really.The description implied much more details and pre painted pages, with how it was done, but really what you get are very few of those and they tell you overall details about them, not the how it was done.The colour in yourself pages are from other books already published, so really this book is only useful if:1. You haven't got the others already2. You have got them but want a 2nd chance at having a go at the drawingsOtherwise, waste of money

The images in this book are the most realistic of all Kerby Rosanes books. Each page features an endangered animal, and at the end of the book, there is information about each one. The paper quality is the same brilliant whit from his other books and it handles most media well, with only the slightest bleeding with heavy handed marker use.
