Good value yet high quality item, having spent the afternoon chopping up boxes with it I can confirm that it feels good in the hand and made box disammebly a breeze.As you'd expect, the blades are sharp and the mechanism for replacing them is very straightforward. The design of the knife as a whole is pretty clever and leaves you with a nicely self contained device.After using it for several hours it wasn't too heavy or overly fatiguing to use for prolonged periods, it made the whole job a breeze so works very well. Given how sharp it was I didn't have to force it through anything so also feels pretty safe to use.

This craft knife is really well made, it feels nice and secure when held, and is very easy to use. I'm very impressed with the quality of this item. Fantastic value for the money, and no issues with the delivery or packaging. I'm really happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

Already had a couple of old knives of this sort, but both are getting a little old so decided to replace for a job I needed doing which involved scoring plastic sheet to make the size I needed. Using this knife I scored the plastic sheet several times using a straight edge as a guide, then with a bit of pressure the surplus sheet made a clean break with the bit I wanted. Note that this was only 1.5mm sheet so I'm not sure how viable this method would be for thicker sheets.What I particularly liked over the old knives is the ability to lock the blade. The old knives had a tendency to get pushed back into the body of the knife when pressing hard. The lock on this prevents that happening. It does come with additional blades, but they're not expensive to replace anyway. The knife is also shaped unlike the old ones, making it easier to grip.

Great design heavy duty DIY & craft knife. It is well made and has a weight that gives you confidence in its durability and use. Great for cutting up boxes and the odd jobs around the home. Easy to change the blades - I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend

I have had this over a year now and it is still doing well , not yet had to buy any more blades despite it being in use for several heavy jobs , including cutting carpets up , and several of them too . also a lot of rubber mats have been cut up , still only on the 3rd blade .I can honestly say this is the best stanley knife on the market , I have bought loads of them over the years , some break as soon as you use them or only last a few months at the most . Very easy to change blades too , The one thing you do have to be careful with is it does have a tendency to pop open now and then if you hold it wrong , but as long as you are aware of this it isn't a problem as you soon learn to not make it pop open . , and i have never cut myself on it , so it's just a minor problem , but that is caused by the easy blade change button , i would still give it 5 stars despite that , as it is a very good quality , heavy solid tool .

A surprisingly solid and comfortable to hold knife. The spare blade storage is both secure and accessible, a combination some similar knives have struggled with!

Excellent quality, lovely and sharp, value for money

As a lifetime electrical engineer a 'Stanley knife' was either in my pocket, toolbox or hand every day. I must have had a had and lost/ had stolen literally dozens and I've tried most manufacturers models.I was just using my Amazon knife and thought that it was actually far better than the original knife. The fit of the two halves is better, with screwless fixing and the rubberised grips are a great improvement. I just checked and I've been using it regularly for 3 years now- so well and truly tested. Now all I have to do is teach the Mrs to put it back when she uses it!
