It works
How to get excited about a dongle? 'Fraid I can't. I have used it with both HDMI and VGA projectors on my MacBook Air - and I plug a USB-A dongle in to it so I can use my clicker. It works.I haven't tried using the USB-C through port to charge it as I've got MagSafe.

Compact, looks and feels nice. Can't drive both a VGA and HDMI monitors separately (don't know why).
I got this to connect my Surface Go (my travelling laptop) to peripherals (monitor, keyboard etc.).One annoyance is I can't attach more than one external monitor: I can have either VGA or HDMI, but not both. However, I'm not sure whether the issue is with this USB-C hub or whether it's a limitation of the Surface laptop/tablet.It's very compact and also looks and feels pleasant. A slightly longer cable would be nice because I have to attach to the vertical side of the tablet screen where the USB-C port is.

Works perfect
Works perfect with my M1 MacBook Pro. No issues with any connection.Occasionally, the USB-C thunderbolt port, when connected to my mains adapter, will show for a little while as not charging the Mac, but then will do after a wee while. I’ve also got a USB-A extender plugged in which has no issues at all. Dual monitor via HDMI works fine, I don’t think it works with both VGA and HDMI at the same time (M1 chip issue) but I haven’t fully tested it. For the price, I wouldn’t expect it to either!Overall, would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t need too many connections a lot the one time on the newer MacBooks! Works perfect for me doing work away from my main desk.

Vital piece of kit for my new Mac mini
Just upgraded from a 2013 Mac Mini to the new M1-based one, and realised that Apple had removed most of the 'old skool' ports on the back of the machine - so this is a vital piece of kit. As my old machine used mini display port to VGA connections for my second screen, this was the only USB-C to VGA adapter I could find. Thankfully within 10 minutes of receiving it I could just plug it straight in, hook up my monitor (via VGA connection) and get straight back to a two-monitor setup without any stress or bother. The additional ports are also useful (having an extra USB-3 port is a bonus as the newer mac minis only have two USB-C and two USB-3 ports now, compared to the old one that had four USB ports and 2 display ports).Worth getting a couple of these if you want an easy way of linking together multiple screens. Looks pretty nice too as it matches the colour of the Mac Mini. Way way cheaper than any of the official apple cables too.

Not compatible with Microsoft Surface Go 2
Not compatible with Microsoft Surface Go 2 tablet - it just pops up a notification to say the device cannot be given enough power. I assume this is a power limitation of the USB C port on the tablet not a defect with the product.Unable to test the function of the product due to the above. Construction seems good however.Leaving 5* review for visibility so others with the same tablet don't have to bother.

Small Portable Hub
A solid, well built little hub.I have used this as a mini dock while working from home. Means I could leave power, hdmi montior and usb keyboard/mouse dongle plugged and then only plug one cable to my laptop. It is a shame that the VGA and HDMI can not be used to drive two indepement screens but lets be real, this is a £17 hub.I have also used this with my Samsung phone to out put my screen to a projector. While I won't be using this everyday as my daily hub I will be keeping this in my bag of tricks I work in IT and can see a use for having this to hand everyday.
