Very Fine and Refined Quality Dye Thinner !!!
Very Fine and Refined Dye Thinner ! BUT, it’s very Expensive !!! It Cost Much Less to use a different brand of Dye Thinner !!! I use Fiebing’s Dye Reducer when I make my More Expensive Leather Work, and for my other Leather Work I just use Klean Strip Denatured Alcohol Clean Burning Fuel !!! Klean Strip Denatured Alcohol dries much Slower than Fiebing’s !!! I’ve been Working Leather since I was 9 years old and I’m 64 now !!! I think that I’ve been around the Block a few times !!!

It Lightens the color you are using. That means it works.
Contrary to the title, it does not reduce the total amount of dye that exists in the world. It WILL thin out and lighten the dye you have if you mix them together. I mixed half and half on a natural leather jacket that had been grease stained. Used Leather Master degreaser first, and it reduced the stained spots a lot, but still visible. So I went to the dye. Dark brown was too dark straight, but light brown wouldn't have hidden the existing stains. It looked really dark going on, so wait for your test spot (and you should do this so you know what color you end up with), but lightens up when dry. I deglazed, but the final finish was varying in darkness. This was fine with me, but be warned. I used deglazer extensively on my Nubuck jacket, and it didn't come out a solid color. Ask someone else how to get a consistent color if that's what you want. Mine looks amazing as is. Used the same mixture on boots, and they came out evenly colored, but darker. Guess it depends on the leather.

Thins dye perfectly
It works very well for spraying or daubing dye. Need to take your time if matching colors. Very pleased with this purchase.

Thin dyes to help restore color
I used this to thin dye to match my cognac color purse back to it's original color. With thinning you can slowly put on layers to get close to the original.

I've only had to use this once, the one time i did it seemed to work just fine. I turned Fiebings leather dye in I blood into a light pink color.

Too Thick? Thin it Out and Use For Clean-Up
I bought the "Dark Chocolate" Dye. I wasn't sure if it would have to be thinned out or lightened. It didn't need either of those done but, it was great for easy clean-up. The dark brown color matched pretty well.

I am happy with it and would buy again when the need
I used this to thin several colors of the fiebings alcohol based dye. Seemed to work well. The projects come out even. I am happy with it and would buy again when the need arises
