Multivet Scccat Kit

I have a senior cat who stopped using his litter box 10 years ago in favor of going to the bathroom outside. Recently he has decided that he would rather not go out in cold and rainy weather so has been going on the carpet. I bought a new litter box an put it in the area he was going in, he ignored it and pooped next to it. This device has worked quite well in keeping him from soiling the carpet, with a few exceptions when it was raining heavily and I guess he would rather be scared by this device than get wet going outside. I expected to hear this thing going off every 5 minutes for the rest of my life but after a short time the animals mostly learned to stay away. My poor dog who is terrorized by the cat is absolutely terrified of this device, I think because it sounds like the cat hissing. Overall I am very pleased with this item and have seen great results. I have not had the experience of having it go off all the time so needing the canister replaced often as some other reviews have mentioned, probably because the area affected is in a corner behind my dining table and people are not walking around back there all the time.

My cat found a place behind a corner living room chair that he used as a litter box. I tried EVERYTHING I could think of (sprays, scents, aluminum foil, blocking the area) and nothing worked. I lost sleep at night because I thought I could hear him pulling the carpet and even then it would too late. I bought a few of these devices and they worked WONDERS. They don't work well at night but all it took was for my cat to pass by and get sprayed by the air compressor a time or two and he never tried again. If he finds another spot I just put in another device and remove it/turn it off if it's in a public area and I have company over. The price is definitely worth the peace of mind!

I purchased this, naturally to keep cats away from plants. Put it together per instructions Put batteries in, no action except when installing the top on the bottle. Cats walked around it no action, every once in awhile it would just go off with nothing around it, examined it moved it across objects changed batteries, still nothing. Called the company that supplied it, got telephone number of maker. I called and explained the problem, good customer service, immediately shipped me another, received it, same problem $40 is pretty expensive for this item especially after Finding that they don’t work. Not sure what is wrong it is very simple as per the limited instructions to set up. Just does not work. After speaking to a company rep and explaining the problem again, was treated nicely by the lady, who then ordered me another set. It arrived yesterday and put it together, and it works sporadically, I don’t know if it’s the sensor or the switch. I put it together very carefully and don’t know what you could do differently. Still works every once in a while which is better than the others that didn’t work at all. A lot of money for not much success.

Works perfect for my skittish cat. My other one loves it as a toy.

This does work to keep my cats away from things/areas that would hurt them/would be inconvenient for them to be in without supervision. It's worth the peace of mind in my opinion, but it can be a little expensive to buy replacement cans. That said, the customer service is very responsive and kind and are willing to replace broken products without charge. I've had the motion detector for months now, and it has yet to break. It just needs its batteries replaced sometimes. Easy to set up, though you might get sprayed a few times. It's a lot easier to use it to keep them off of counters or shelves than, say, a whole room where they could observe it and slip past it after a while, but it still works in both scenarios if you plan/place it well.

I have several these on my kitchen counters to keep the cats off them. They typically work really well. In the years that I have been using them I have only had 2 kittens that decided they were fun to play with and run them out of air real quick. The motion detection is a bit off. Sometimes it will detect me from clear across the room. Other times I can wave my had right in front of it and nothing happens. My biggest complaint about these is the cost of refills. Like seriously 17 dollars for highly compressed air???? I wish they made a refillable one or came down off the price a bit. I have tried other solutions but it is hard to get the right compression.

The motion detector function of this product worked impressively well, effectively deterring my cat. However, I must admit that the overall value is questionable. The product's durability is disappointing, as it doesn't last very long before needing a replacement. Moreover, a major drawback is its susceptibility to being tipped over from surfaces like counters, which limits its practicality and effectiveness.

I purchased this product along with the Battery Operated Scat Mat Lrg 48x20 because we have a female cat who was not only tearing up furniture but had decided for absolutely no reason to use the basement carpet as her toilet. After having the cat vetted for any problems and being told she was in perfect health, and then spending a sizable chunk of change in having the completely ruined carpet torn up and new flooring put down, I decided I wasn't taking any chances. I set one of the Ssscat Spray cans near the corner in the basement where our dear kitty had been soiling. Within an hour of setting up the can, our male kitty (who had also decided to join in on the carpet peeing when he saw what his naughty sister was up to) ventured to the corner. Off went the can (which we could hear from upstairs) and the guilty cat came flying up from the basement with tail bushed and eyes very large. Can worked like a charm. Score: Spray can - 1; kitty cat - 0. And the Scat Mat worked like a charm when placed on one of the chairs being destroyed by kitty claws. She hasn't gone near the chairs again.

The spray is effective and works for keeping the cat away. However is very overpriced and not worth the money. Furthermore, it lasted only 3 days, the spray is already out. Not worth it.

Pro - Gets the job done, does what is says Con - the air pressure should be adjustable, its too strong.
