I purchased this hub so that I could connect about 5-6 sensor boards to my Windows machine simultaneously. I have been using this for a couple weeks now. The boards power on since they need very little power to startup and the data transfer works perfectly fine. The slim product design is convenient as well. Overall a good product since I haven't ran into any issues yet and it has served my needs.

As long as this hub is perfectly undisturbed, it works as intended. However, If it is even slightly jostled, my keyboard or my trackball will often quit responding until I jiggle the plugs in the hub. This is an annoying nuisance. I've had better USB hubs. Lots of them.Edit, a few weeks later. I've downgraded my rating to a single star because, by now, the hub is utterly unreliable. Even without being touched it will intermittently quit working. The keyboard or mouse or external HDD (or any combination thereof) that are attached through this junk will stop responding, though the laptop's built-in keyboard, touch-screen, and HDD continue to behave properly.This thing is infuriatingly capricious.

While this hub is fast and has a decent length cord, the hub itself is so light. The cord will just flop the whole thing about and its hard to get it to stay in a place you want it, this I can deal with, but my biggest issue is it just keeps on disconnecting randomly. All my devices will just suddenly drop off. Im luck I haven't had a corruption on any of my drives, seeing as I got this mainly so I wouldn't have to keep reaching behind my mac all the time.

This will not charge your phone. It is a USB hub only.

Works as expected.

This is just a lovely piece of equipment everyone love it and inquires about it, it allows you to work with many flash drive at once without having to be changing sticks and all the time, this extends the live of the ports on the computer and its easy to take along with you to conferences etc.

I use this hub to connect many low-power devices. So far, I've had no problems with it. Be aware that its total speed is still limited to that of a single USB 2.0 port, and so is its total power consumption. So it won't work if you connect many heavy devices like external hard drives.

I got this to work with a external hard drive and existing mouse. It played one encrypted CD but not the other. When I disconnected the external hard drive and plugged it in directly to the laptop it played. It also played on other computer. I then tried an older hub that I had and it worked fine. This is not one I would recommend and I did not address the issue early enough so I cannot return.
